Are the Ch**us TP freq's the same or do they change wit location??
I have tuned in about 19 TP's and have about 250 channel's,
A load of these are duplicates and trippled as I have been scanning all the TP's I can find so I can get everything available then go back and delete any I have more than one of.
My problem is I reckon I only have about 70 channel's if I remove all the dup's and tripp's of each channel, I am sure I should have more.
The TP's Freq I have picked up on so far are around 270.000 upto 480.000
But I have been manually hiting each TP and only on Full digit's i.e 270 then 271 then 272 etc. No mid Freq's 271.250 etc
Can anyone indicate all the TP's they are using or even where could I find a full list of CH's that I should be able to receive??
I am Using an E V MAX 2008 In Car low area,
It would be interesting to see what anyone in Kilkenny or Portlaoise are using as these may be the same??? if they are aera dependant??
Thanks
Tom
As Celt said they do differ, and as Carlow has only just recently undergone an upgrade I am not sure of the difinitive frequncies and amount of channels Ch**us cable in the cities carry the same amount of channels as N** cable.
Regards your duplicates that has been caused by you manually inputting frequencies which are close to each other. The EV scans in 8Mhz steps and hence you wont get ones ending in .250 unless you manually input a similar frequency.
The maximum amount of TPs that are live on Ch**us at the moment is thirteen.

I was just hanging onto all the Dup's until I have all the TP's tuned in and I am then going to remove the excess.
Regards .250 I was asking about this as the link below your post has a list of TP's some containing .250 or .500 etc.
I was thinking maybe ch**us may offset some just for hardships sake..
But from what you say above would I be right in saying that the reason these .500 Freq's are posted as good known TP's is due to fine tuning aspects??
Thanks again
Tom
And 1 other thing. You say there is only 13 TP's live,
Do they Usually range around mid Freq's 300~500 or anywhere from 100~900 etc??
my pwr scan only picked out ~4 and these had bad signal. But found some more from some of your and other's old posts in these forums which worked a treat... Thanks for that. :-).

Hi Scouser,
I have a eurovox Max V 2008, About a week and a half ago, I lost a few channels, sky sports etc. Today, I cleared the box and reloaded the firmware from your website and also from www.cable-tv-junkie.com. Now, I'm left with 109 channels, i'm missing the likes of E4 and Bravo but I have e4+1 and Bravo+1. Have you any suggestions? I normally have 141 channels.
Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks,
Fionnan

To add these go to menu, installation, user installation and use the on button guide to add frequencies ( Green / Channel Edit , Red / Add Freq ). Info button will name them as you like .
For any frequency that you want to manually scan you select it in your list first by pressing OK when it is highlighted, ( a tick will appear beside the one you select), then you press the blue button to manually scan that frequency.
Also press menu > user Installation > pin = 1004
And see what frequencies are in the list

Dont see how they can do that as the boxes usually come unflashed and so are FTA only when shipped.

Tom the frequencies for each area differ and as such you will see different results. You will see I have edited my CDF to match N**s subbed boxes for Dublin, this is a personal preference of mine as I like been spot on :)
As said the EV powerscan option goes in 8Mhz steps and if your area's frequencies are out by 1Mhz or so you will miss them, so as said you can gather a lot of info here and then eventually tie down your specific frequencies.

Finally got a bit of time to sit down and sort out the EV Max 2008.
These are the best TP Freq's for Carlow Town On Cable Digital that I could find.
I have manually scanned my way from ~270 to 500 Mhz and this is the results I have come up with.
These Freq's have all come in with perfect Signal for me. 80+ % and no jumping.
I've hit 12 TP's, Sc0ucer reckons there will be upto 13 TP's so I will keep looking for this. In the mean time if anyone has Digital Cable in Carlow Can you let me know if you are getting some Channels that I have not got mentioned below as I have not upgraded to Digital yet (still only on analogue connection) so I dont have a Cable supplier decoder to compare against.

getting a bit confused here. In Navan on ch*rus true cable in one house i enter 6875 and set the search from 250-450. So the scan looks for transponders 250, 251, 252...etc. until it gets to about 314 where the first transponder is found. Then for some reason, it jumps in steps of 8, so after tp 314, the next one it looks for is 322 then 330 etc. Net result is I end up with about 5 tp's and 30 channels.
So, I skipped 314 and started the search from 315, and it found a lot more transponders, and about 70 channels.
Is there a setting to stop it incrementing in steps of +8?
Its almost like the first tp tells it to jump in steps of 8.
EV 2008, with latest firmware.

Thanks Sc0user and YaYa ,
Tried Yaya's codes most which are close to mine are picking up what I seem to have already and the 1 that is not so close (324) has no Freq or even Freq's either side of it.
A friend has got Digi installed recently so I'm going to try drop over and have a look at his box and see what channels he is picking up.
By any chance does anyone know if you can view the TP Freq's on the standard Ch**us supplied box??
Tom.

Yes,
That was in Wednesday's Evening Herald.Apparently it happened on 17th December.I heard from a reliable source that it was a computer shop in Finglas. The guy was selling "The Box" programmed over the counter.Upc and the guards came and took away about E12,000 worth of boxes including a lot of unflashed boxes. They took other stuff as well.

Question regarding the EPG
On the EV Max 08 the EPG only shows whats on now and next for all channels, but it seems to let you browse up for the next few days just like the Sly Digi Box does, only all the days show blank...
Is this Norm for CH**us or is it related to the SW on the receiver??
Also what is the most recent SW version available for the EV Max 08??
Thanks
Tom

Does it try and load the tsop at all in Skymax or do you get the error at the start.
Also when using Jkeys for the first time you have to go to file, preferences and select parallel port. You don't need to keep selecting parallel port as it will remain changed.
Copy all programs onto your computer and work off these.
Try starting with first 1 or 2 steps of Skymax then try Jkeys.
Also do not connect any other boxes while flash is in progress as spark will cause flash fail.
