I already had the slot drive was a 2 week drive for me.I know somebody else had problems with the slot drive thought it was brobear.Thats when I picked up the other 716 internals. The external Plex 716 was the first drive I picked up and bought a bunch of other drives to do the NERO scan to keep up with the masters back then just to see where my burns were compared to theirs. Then I found out which drives would do Nero and bought the Benq 1620.Sure miss them guys. Chris

It's contagous.
I'm watching UPS to see when my package arrives from Newegg. I'm planning an evening rebuilding my computer with my new goodies and hopefully doing some testing. :D
Oh, and of course, I really have my nose to the grindstone here at work. (thank God noone can look over my shoulder!)

I hate to add to the nonsense but here I go. hehehe. I'm at work right now and I'm not worried about the boss watching over my shoulder. CAUSE he's out of town right now and officed on the other side of town anyway. hehehe. :P
I did some burns and scans last and they were good. I'm thinking that I may have jumped the gun on this NEW drive thing. LOL. They're really not for the present system anyway. I'm just getting ready for this NEW build in about 4 months. hahaha. Well at least I'll know if the drives are worth a hoot by then. :D
I've come to the conclusion that this cheap media CRAP is just that. I've been hard headed about trying CHEAP media and I'm no longer participating in that race any more. Until someone says this media is GREAT or that media is the SHIZNIT them I'm sticking to my stockpile of Verb's and TY's. jm2c....... Sorry didn't mean to sound like I was on a soapbox but the CHEAP media is pissing me off right now.
I have about 10 of those RITEK R05's (16X DVD+R) left and I can't give that stuff away fast enough. For some reason the last 10-15 in the spindle have been CRAP. I'll check the rest out and see if it's something that I'm doing BUT I doubt it. :P I have some RITEK R03 (8X DVD+R)and got fantastic burns and scans last night. PIE's were a little high but at least consistent on both burners (LH-20A1S and Pioneer DVR-112L v8.21). PIF's were under 100 on both burns (scans) if I remember right. :D
Ok I'm done now......someone else have a turn.....hehehe

Your QS was 40?? Well that stinks don't it. hehehe. Refresh my memory a little b2r. I'm not old just busy and have some sort of ADHD deal going on. :P
You know the drill right. No messing with the puter while your burning. (rule of thumb for NON dual core folks, I kinda stick to it anyway even tho I have a DC puter)
Clean the HDD every now and then, do a defrag, make sure and "blow" your optical drive now and then too. Run CCleaner if you think it's necessary. I've never ran it but I have it available if need be. LOL.
What are your drives again? Like I said in a round about way I have CRS disease and need help most of the time just remembering where I am let alone what someone else is doing. Man I sound like fredbun....hehehe.
