Hi, I'm really having a hard time with something... I get as far as running the update 4 for 3.52 M33 and when I do my psp is semi bricked, I can get into recovery, but I always have to use my pandora's battery to get back to 1.50. I have tried this like 10 times, and always have a problem installing that update... It says that its successful, but when I restart it flashes some writing on the screen real quick and then its frozen in the main menu. I can't move to highlight anything. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Pandora's battery is a special battery made to work with a memory stick to unbrick/downgrade psp's I have used mine more times than I can count because it keeps bricking on me lol.

I don't know, I'm messing up somehow when I'm trying to install the m33-4 update... I even tried to do the m33-3 update and it says its successful, but it then won't let me do anything when the system restarts...

Are you updating from 3.52M33 right to 3.52M33-4? You need only to do this as updates 1,2 and 3 are included in 4?
Also maybe try downloading update 4 from somewere else as you may have a bad download?

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a shot. I am trying to go from 3.52M33 to 3.52M33-4, I'm going to start from the beginning again and see how it works, wish me luck!

Just followed the instructions completely, and it still did the same thing, I even re-downloaded all the files from Dark Alex's page... I guess I'm just gonna give up on it.. Thanks for the advice though!
But if anyone has a fix for this please let me know!
**Update**
I tried to update it to 2 and it worked, but then when I tried 3 it bricked again.

Maybe using Pandora so many times has something to do with this. If you backed up your flash0, try restoring it when you're on the firmware that you backed it up on.
If that doesn't work, then go into recovery mode and toggle flash1 on while connected to your computer. Delete everything in here.
If this still doesn't work, I think THIS is the only option, it'll install 3.71 M33 for you straight from the battery.
@zap
Your sig too big to conform to site rules. Just thought I'd let you know before any of the mods do.

This is when I'm trying to update to 3.71 m33-2 from 3.71 m33.
Not sure what went wrong, the update from the dark-alex website was inside the game folder, and I dont get any message saying the game cannot be started. The psp just freezes and shuts down later.
Any suggestions welcome!

Nah I can access recovery mode but just not configuration, so that I can check whether I am at 3.71, which is needed for the upgrade from 3.71 m33 to 3.71 m33-2 (I think). I've got 1.5 kernal, by the way, if that helps. Wondering what could have gone wrong...
By the way, thanks for replying, really appreciate it.

Quote: for installing 3.71m33-2 on slims
universal unbricker
you can get it here http://dark-alex.org/ its called
>> El Despertar del Cementerio v3<< this will install 3.71m33-2 straight to your psp
Installation:
- If you have already a pandora ms, don't do this part. Otherwise,
format an ms using c+d mspformat or any other tool that allows to move
partition to ~250kb from first sector
Remove ms, usb and connect again usb and ms.
Make PSP and PSP/GAME dirs.
- Copy despertar_cementerio to PSP/GAME/
- Download 1.50, 3.40 and 3.71 update eboots and copy them to ms root with
150.PBP, 340.PBP and 371.PBP names.
- Use the app under a cfw with 2.x or 3.x kernel (be sure that kernel is
selected on recovery to the correct one (2.x or 3.x))
- Once finished, u will have msipl.bin on root. If you already have a pandora
ms, you don't have to do this step (ipl doesn't changes lol), otherwise,
use c+d msinst to install ipl on ms; or use dd command from unix, or any
hex-edit program to write on sector 16 on the physical drive.
- Now you can delete 340 and 150 PBP's, as they won't be used more; but 371.PBP
will be used for unbricker, so don't delete it.
- Now you have an universal pandora ms ready to go, and you just need a proper
battery. If you have 1.50 kernel access, use c+d tool. Otherwise, use corly149 tool.
ms root would mean putting in em the very beginning without going into any folder? hadda ask to make sure yet to put PHP other than in the GAME folder =]

something's messed up on your psp.. coz as far as i know if you cant access your recovery mode you cant boot your psp at all, if you're on CFW.. try hitting the bright button after a hard reboot and hold the R trigger

Hi guys,
I followed what sicdude said and all the steps in the tutorial to upgrade to 3.52m33-4 but i get an error when running the 3.52 M33 Creator "The game could not be started (80020148)". The only thing i have different from the steps in the tutorial is the name of my GAME folder, is just GAME instead of GAME150. Goes that make a difference? Can anybody help me please?
Thanks in advance
