Doc

Interesting new sig sort of a Sasquatchie Pacific north western rain forest effect. It's a good thing you didn't go for the Sasquatch (Bigfoot) outright, it might have confused brobear.

LOL's. Yeah, and if brobear were to get confused, think what it would do to me !!!

I've been on the hunt for a new sig ... one with an identity. I saw this one and figured it would support profound, wisdomatic phrases such as "Things change." :)

The forest is nice.
Doc could just use it when leaving for the evening:)

I'm not sure I like smileys anymore.
Question. If a tree falls in an animated forest and nobody's there, did it really fall.

Soph ... Ahhh yes, it is me. Whether it flies here or not is another question. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Donald ... does the virtual tree really fall (?) ... let's ask the magical trees...

Makes you wonder about a bear in the woods. Did I hear someone mention my name.

BTW, that great program setup, RBCCE, maybe good for some, but not all. Still suffering from 0003 Buffer Overflow. Tried everything I can think of. I know it's a good program when it works. But not all of us are that lucky and no one seems to be able to really pin the problem down. This will even foul up on a DVD-5, Black & White, with a single sound track. I know I probably have something wrong, but no one seems to know what it is yet and it isn't in the guide.

Well brobear, that bear comment made for a quick ride from the esoteric to the real world. :)

I had a bad go-round with the buffer overflow. I did a fresh install, beginning with a zero write. I didn't install anything I didn't need. I think some of the trial transcoders set things sideways ... if you believe in conspiracy theories. It used to be any kind of editing was a problem, and now I can't make it do a #0003/#0004.

brobear, don't give up. we'll get vurbal and jdobbs in on this and help you and agentK thru the muddle. It's too damn good not to have working!

Soph, I think that's a good idea about a Remake thread whether you or vurbal or whoever starts it. I get all kinds of PM's regarding Remake that should be out there for everyone to see.

I think I've spoken too much about it in other threads, since RB/CCE isn't the only app I use it with and they really have nowhere to go..

Doc, is there a trout stream under those tress?

Yes, there is an abundance of virtual trout in a virtual stream ... but only for catch and release. This doesn't apply to the bears, of course.

My PM's were picking up with just general questions. The common theme was that they didn't want to expose themselves to being attacked for appearing "dumb." These PM's have subsided since the new rules came out.

Could you copy and paste your RB/CCE configuartion settings so that we can review your setup?

Reminds me of "A River Runs Through It."

About those buffer overflow errors. I used to get them all the time, and I don't anymore. I got them mostly with Remake Pro and RB until both released upgrades. This reduced the error, but it was only when I did a clean install that all the problems went away. This is always the "ultimate solution" but I hope it works for others.

Hmm! I'm up late and bigo's still posting an hour after I've gone back to bed.

I decided at 9 PM that I was going to listen to some Mozart and Beethoven while reading a Thomsas Jefferson biography. I fell asleep within minutes only to awaken around 3 AM.

It's dawn here in the Eastern US so I fear bigo has made his way to his resting place. I suppose we'll see you after dusk?

Brobear,

The 0003/0004 errors that were bothering some of us for a while are not a problem with the present versions but they can still come up because of setup problems.
We need a good look at your setup to be sure. The install while not difficult has a lot of places to error. I install regularly on different computers so I'm use to looking for the little details. Now my setups work without thinking to much. But the first few times I had to redo a lot of things.

A list of the installed versions of the programs would be a good start. Maybe go back through the guide and check for details.

I have enjoyed the flexibility of rebuilder/cce. If you get everything the way you like it I think you will to.

Mmmm ... Mozart and Beethoven. My brother-in-law, who manages a welding supply store, onced asked me what kind of music I liked, and I told him I had been listening to a lot of baroque lately. He got this puzzled look on his face, and then asked "what's broke about it?" I kept a straight face, although it was hard, and pulled a cassette out of the car so he could listen to some.

brobear ... where art thou? And your specs?

Yes I also like baroque as well. I was also listening to Bach who is considered the best of the baroque era, in fact the baroque era is considered to have ended when he died in 1750.

It's fascinating to me how different eras spawn different types of music to reflect that era. I wonder if baroque ended because Bach died, or if it was the natural end of an era as the industrial revolution took hold?

On another note, there were some studies a few years back that showed alpha wave activity in the brain increased while listening to baroque music. Alpha activity not only calms one, it often induces a very creative state.

Although Mozart is considered to be a classical era composer, he began during the late baroque era just as Beethoven another classical composer crossed over into the Romantic period. So there are no clearly defined musical eras. Are you referring to the Mozrt effect?
