Yeah...they weren't like that at the start. They deleted my account so I can't get the files since they are being retarded and making everyone pay to download. So if I can convince them to let me get my files back, I'll be uploading them to a few different sites. Sorry for this inconvience.

Hey, no problem. I actually have a Krayzie's tutorial that people seem to love...especially since Krayzie didn't do too good at explaining how to do a few things with his installer.
Also, if someone happened to have downloaded the file and still has it, could you please PM me so I can get it transfered to me and then reuploaded at a few other sites. I would greatly appreciate it!

Sweet guide. Couple things.
I heard that if you log on to xbox live, it auto updates so you can't do the mod. Any truth to this? Also, after modding, is there a way that live is going to ban me, or perhaps unmod my system somehow with their patches?
I don't have an xbox, but looking at getting one off ebay. Is there any of them that can't be modded, using the softmod, that I should be aware of? I like some of the features that I read you can do. The best, that I think, is being able to watch XviD, DivX movies. Also, there is a way to connect the xbox, to my computer? Thats sweet too. I will need to do this mod, and then install the xbox media center, to do all this though, right? Thanks! And thanks again. Great guide. Hope to use it, if I get my xbox.

You'll be safe on XBL with this softmod. I'm not sure if you are suppose to stay away from xbox v1.6b or not, but other than that I'm pretty sure this will work on all versions. If you can't softmod with this one, I have a link to a guide for Krayzies softmod installer and I'm sure he's got his all worked out.
All the things you are wanting to do with your Xbox that you stated, WILL be able to be done once you are done softmodding your Xbox with this guide.
As far as XBMC, you'll have to find it on xbins or use AID 3.X (I dont know what version they are up to anymore :P ). If you don't know how to install dashboards, I would go with AID since it will install XBMC automatically. The downfall to using aid is that it won't have the most current xbmc :(

YEP azzid is right , you can mod any version of xbox any kernal and on any xbox up to date . However dont get a xbox that has the chip inside ( mod chips tho) cuz chips with softmod wont work , make sure if you get 1 with an error code then ask before you buy it cuz their sometimes that not even a softmod can fix a bricked xbox ....

Ok ladies, I was somehow able to download the installer from the old link so I figured since so many people were having a tough time with that site, I uploaded it to rapidshare.com. If someone would like to make mirrors of this, please PM me the link and I'll add them to the main part of the tutorial!

I installed Unleash X with your tutorial (Thanks, this tutorial is extremely effective and user friendly!), and my xbox is now modded, but for some reason I cannot get the Unleash X Dashboard to load when the system is turned on. I have uninstalled and re-installed UnleashX a few times, and I am unable to figure out why? Can anyone help me with this, it gets really annoying! Thanks!

does it load the ms dashboard and ask for time? set it restart n fixed .... check your circle led is it red or green?

Ok, so I was following the tut here (nice job by the way, azz!) and I have the installers on my AR memory card, but my xbox won't let me copy them to it's HDD. Any thoughts?

go to the side of the installer not the actual icon , toggle to the right you should be given the option by then to delete or copy it to the hd

thanks gus. Now I have another problem.
I successfully installed the unleashx modified dash, and have FTP access to my xbox, but I can't figure out which directory to install the emulators in. I used azzidrain's FTP tutorial and the emulator autoinstaller he provided, but it isn't showing up under unleashx's emulators menu on the main screen (although the autoinstaller did in fact install the emulator in the 'e:' directory).
I also attempted to manually install the emulator in the 'e:' directory via FTP, but to no avail. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

if your using auto intaller deluxe disc then it does install it automatically HOWEVER i dont think the latest builds of aid 3 has the games ( roms) you may have the emulator ( the console system) but you still need roms ( the games)
aid never gets it wrong it shoudl be auto did you do dual boot= retail or single boot?

Yes, I did the dual boot= retail install option for NTSC as per the tutorial. I also placed a rom into the roms folder, but it still isn't coming up under the main menu (however, the emulator is now working correctly).
I was just wondering if anyone out there knows the exact directory that you need to put the emulators in to make them show up under the main menu. Thanks again, gus!

sometimes they just need to be refresh kinda like a pre scan , e/Emu/roms/ here roms
so its e emu of choice and roms folder then run emu and try to search from the emu...
pretty much you have to configure the ini so it searches in E/emu/roms like so it looks for the right path , ask hq they are more resourful in xbox due to more tools and more members for xbox comunity

Ok. So I had the mod installed successfully as stated before, but now I have a new and much more peculiar problem. I unplugged the consaul from the outlet by my comp to move it back over near my tv, and no matter what I do (including re-installing the mod), it always boots to the default MS dash and not the modded one. Anyone know how to remedy this?

Sorry for the double post. I'm ready to give up for the day (frustration?) but I have tried a few other things to no avail. However, the modded dash is still present in the xbox, because I can access it through the SID installer menu's File explorer. But when I power on the xbox with no disc and the drive tray closed, it sends me to set the clock and then to the standard ms dash.

i mentioned the fix/solution when ms dash loads with time , but
turn on xbox set time and date turn off turn back on and see if fixed
or do the above plus hold LEFT TRIGER + RIGHT TRIGER + BLACK + START
it should load modded dash ( this is called igr IN GAME RESET) once
hack dash loads go to settings then set the proper time and date .
their is 1 more option to solution but im pretty sure 100% that the first one will work

I am trying to install SID 4 with Splinter Cell and it works while I am in the game but as soon as I click on Check Points it brings up the error screen and tells me to call xbox customer service for Assitance Error Code 21 is there Anyone that can help me get past this

yeah sure theirs a way , properly put 2 FILES so that the linux can load so its game save plus linux then no more error 21
