I know you're frustrated and all, but there is no need for caps.

You have 2 options:

1. Hardmod your battery
2. Buy a DATEL battery off eBay of something.

Hey there. Newbie here.

One question: Is it possible for me to create a Pandora Battery on a FAT battery using a SLIM PSP running M33?

I've done the memory stick part of the process, but when I try to run Pandora's Battery Creator I get an error saying "The game could not be started. (80020148)". Is this because it's not possible to do use a slim PSP?

The reason I want to do this is because I have a fat PSP running official firmware and I want to downgrade it using the Pandora (I only have access to a Slim PSP with CF).

I think you can run the pandora battery creator on a PSP slim :)
Juz take a look at THIS
I think the download link is broken in the site >_<
But you can download the file from HERE

@ apdd
No, the memory stick is not needed to be an official sony one :)
It's supposed to be original and a "Memory stick PRO duo" with MagicGate supported :)
256 MB - 2 GB space are recommended by me ^_^
I made my 'magic memory stick' with a "Sandisk memory stick pro duo - 2 GB" :)

Thanks, I tried that method, no cigar though.

It didn't show any errors, but when I inserted the supposedly pandorized battery into my fat PSP is booted up like normal. Tried the whole thing a couple of times but it still didn't work. Any help?

(Yeah, I know I could ask there, but for some reason I can't open their forum. Only this forum is accessible for me)

EDIT: I noticed that the battery serial doesn't change before and after pandorizing. I guess that's the problem, but I don't know how to solve it.

Yeah I thought it was the batteries, but mine is the standard Sony battery (looks exactly the same with the one in that thread). Came with the PSP I bought when it first came out (2 years ago?). It's a Japanese PSP-1000 though, but the battery that comes with it should still work, no? It says MODEL PSP-110.

Wow that's just a little odd... it should work, there's no reason it wouldn't.

I have the same PSP model (Japanese as well) and the same battery, and that converted to a Pandora perfectly, though i did use the original official release, when it came out last year.

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

ok i'm having trouble with this, and I haven't found an answer on this topic.

1st off, there is no msformat.exe nor pandora folder located anywhere after I install the easy installer.
2nd After I do install the MS and Battery patch and try to load it into a bricked psp, there green light comes on but the screen stays black. I've gone through the process of formatting (using the psp to format) and writing the files and such multiple times but get the same result. little help please?

Yeah, but in my case I'm trying to pandorize that battery with a SLIM PSP on CFW. The slim PSP is the US version I think. Maybe there's an incompatibility between the slim US PSP and the fat Japanese PSP battery? (in terms of converting it to Pandora)

Maybe because your Slim won't have 1.50 kernel? That's the only thing i can think of... there couldn't be an incompatability with batteries.

Hmm.. I know slims don't have native 1.50 kernel support, but I thought with CFW it installs the 1.50 kernel as well (in the recovery mode of the 3.71 M33 CFW I'm using has the option to switch to 1.50 kernel). Oh well. I suppose I could just hardmod it, but if possible I still want to find a way to softmod it.

Thanks acidy, PeeEssPee and Shokz.

The 1.50 kernel can only be installed on Fat PSPs as of yet, changing kernel mode to 1.50 in the recovery mode in a Slim will just leave the kernel on 3.XX

Well he's right, the PSP slim is not compaitble with the 1.50 kernal because of hardware differences to the Phat.

But D_A (Dark-Alex)has released yet another amazing program called the "Time Machine" it could be found HERE.

Basically what it does is that it loads up older FW versions on the PSP slim via ms. I haven't personally tryed it but from what i see you CAN install the 1.50 kernal on your PSP. Well uh GoodLuck and let us know how it goes^^.

My PSP life: 1.50>2.00>2.71>3.03> 3.30(Noooo!!!)>3.50>3.50HEN>1.50>3.40OE-A>3.52M33>1.50.3.40OE-A>3.52M33>3.52M33-4>1.50>3.40OE-A>3.52>3.52M33-4

Plainin to get the slim (moddified) BUT IT THE ONLY THING IS THAT IT HAS NO 1.50 KERNEL!{^_^}

The slim is on CFW 3.71 M33-4. It does however have a custom theme installed in flash0 (the cookies theme?), but I've disabled it prior to the process. Maybe disabling it is not enough, but I have to recover to the original flash0?

As i said before, you don't have the 1.50 kernel, you'll need to try a different guide that doesn't use the 1.50 kernel (like a Slim only guide etc.)

ok...are there anyways that we could create a magic stick that has 3.90m33 already in there, so I dont have to downgrade to 1.50 then 3.52, then 3.52m33 then 3.90 then 3.90m33? as far as i know it works for me right now but it takes too much times to downgrade to 1.50 then upgrade it. thanks
