THX in advance!!
PLEASE answer my question ppl, i am begging you guys, please
Hi, if yours is a 3.90 official firmware, go and buy a Pandora battery. Do not forget to get a 2G memory for Magic Memory Stick (Magic MS) (Must not be fake - I got one .Sooo lucky right Sigh :{ ).

If you have a friend with a PSP slim (with Customise Firmware) then you can use his PSP slim to make a Pandora Battery from a normal one.

Modding a PSP Slim is a real shit task.

Read and read so many forums. This guide is fantastic. All newbies like me better read from top to bottom. And other forums on tiny issues not in this guide.

Example.
1. cannot load games.
2. can save game but cannot load the very game you have saved.

There maybe other shit problem.

But GUYs and GALs... my PSP slim is working perfectly. 3.90 cfw m33-2.

Good luck to all you newbies.

Thanks for you guys there for this guide.. (Smooch...)

All. Of. Them.

Those are all the same custom firmware, just different patches... any custom firmware at all (1.50 CFW and up) will play PSP games without a separate loader. Any CFW 3.03 OE-A and above will play PSX games without an emulator.

PSP ISOs and CSOs go in ms0:/ISO/

PSX EBOOTs go in ms0:/PSP/GAME/GameName/EBOOT.PBP (The game has to be named EBOOT.PBP or it won't show up)

Both will show up straight in the Game menu on the XMB.

Hey,

So I've done everything stated and have read and re-read every single page on the forum and I still haven't been able to get the firmware to upload. I am stuck on the "green light of annoyance"(stuck on the green power light, mmc not being read). I am using a 1gig sandisk memory card, and a datel TOOL pandora battery. The .cmd screen shows that everything is being uploaded onto the memory card. I have also tried with a Lexar memory card, but to no avail. I am planning on trying with a genuine sony 1 gig memory card tommorow and I am also planning to reinstall the easy intstaller to see if that is the problem but I really dont think thats it. Ive been so psyched to do this for like a month and a half and its completely bumming me out that its not working. Any help is good help.

Thanx!

I am on 3.71 M33-4.

Lekner
I had the same problem but i messed around with it. So you might of misunderstood Larry or have a fake Memory stick.
1. During the memory stick process you must wait when the format is processing.
2. Insert the memory stick before the battery
3. You MUST have a pro duo memory stick

i had a similar problem the ISO would apear in the XMB, but that was missig was the forlder GAME, once i put the folder in the ms/PSP/GAME, the ISO apeard in the XMB...

1. Correct memory card.
2. Correct pandora battery.
3. Using XP PC.
4. Using this great guide.

will definitely get you going in the correct direction.

Hmmm... if there is.... that will be something very new to me.

Hey, So i used a sony branded 1 gig memory card, a datel TOOL pandoras battery, a XP pc (with im pretty sure a 32bit processor) and this great guide and still got the green light. this is really really bumming me out especially since I paid for the battery and its starting to seem like a waste..... the only thing I can think of is that my lil plastic wireless LAN switch broke so the wireless is off but I seriously dont think thats the problem.. Im about to try it on someone elses psp so we'll see....

as always any help.. is well.. help

The installer works perfectly and so far I have modded a total of 4 PSP's without a hitch. The only question I have is how would I go about adding the new updates directly to the installer(3.90 M33-2 currently) as they come out?

I've done just fine installing straight to the supplied 3.71m33-2 but it is a little time consuming to go through the MUX updater to get to 3.8 and then the M33 supplied network update to 3.90m33-2. I know I am getting picky, but I was wondering if someone knew the easiest way to have the installer go straight to 3.90 M33-2. Thanks

I got three questions-

1. If you hardmod your battery, can you use it as a normal battery?

2. If you can unmod the hardmodded battery, how would you do that?

3. I clicked your link for hardmodded, it says that you need to remove one wire but i see two blue boxes and 2 red lines for the phat psp. Can you please explain wat wire i pull out?

btw my battery is 3.6v 1800mAh

thanks

i hope it is with larrylje to update the Unbricker files posted on the links to use MUX2.1, Despart...V4 that install 3.80-M.33 instead of 3.72-M33 and the 3.90 as part of the updates.

thanks.

BY THE WAY, WORD OF CAUTION, DON'T TRY HARDMODDING A SPARE BATTERY. VERY DANGEROUS. JUST BUY A DATEL ONE OR SOMETHING. MUCH SAFER.

There is still allot of users that like 3.71 M33 so I did not revise the guide with Despertar del Cementerio version 4. It only takes a few to update from 3.71 M33 to 3.80 M33 or 3.90 M33 which I have revised MUX 2.0 to include.

I need a help with my bricked Slim PSP running official firmware 3.90

I tried to install CFW on it several times and at the end my PSP stopped working anymore.

What I am seeing is just the green power light with a turned off screen. I plugged in my Pandora battery and MMS (magic ms) which worked perfectly on my FAT PSP that was running an official firmware 5.23 or something and now it is 3.71 M33

What I know is that I can fix this issue with a Pandora battery but how.

Thanks in advance.

I literally followed this guide inside and out. All I end up is with "this game could not be started".

I'm pretty much about ready to give up. I'm at the very end of this guide to where it says launch the MUX20 app. I did notice somewhere that the battery has to be converted back to normal, which is another thorn in my side.

I took a look at some pics and realized I cut the wrong pin. So I cut the correct pin this time and the battery still works, which is a plus I guess considering I still get to play all of my actual legit games but my point is that none of this hack mumbojumbo is just not working. Now I'm not sure if it even is going to work at all since I have 2 pins cut. I hope my battery is still good to hack with because I'm about fed up with buying batteries over and over because of poorly written guides, EXCLUDING this one which has gotten me the most progression.
