Hi, I have a question. Soz, I am new to this. At some part of making the MMS, u have to drag the PSP map and 1.50.PBP to ur stick. I have a PSP slim, so do i need the 1.50.PBP or doesn't it matter? Because I have read when u install 1.50 on a slim, it will brick. Just wanted to be sure.

I am wondering the same thing that Xint just asked. In the Add_On folder I have a 150.pbp and a 395.pbp. Would one be for phat and the other for slim?

Yes 4.01 is in the download. But i dunno if u have to install 3.80 first and then 4.01 or from 3.71 to 4.01. Maybe someone else can answer.

larrylje, first of all I would like to say thanks for providing an easy to understand guide and sorry for posting an absurd petition within the thread (I now have DSL and I'm never going back to dial-up); I would also like to thank everybody who has responded to my posts even though a simple forum search could have answered my questions. I was ignorant then now I'm aware about the power of CWF.

I?m running 3.71 M33-2. I?m undecided to which CFW to upgrade to. I?m doing forum searches regarding the apps I would like to use and the compatibility running other firmwares of such apps. I would like to use IR Shell but I?ve read that it only works on 3.71 and 3.80, I don?t know If this is entirely true.

The only problem newbies like myself may encounter using UUV3 is during the final step after the files have been copied to MS. I had to use msinst.exe in order to enable the MAGIC to the MS because my PC would skip the final step.

Once again thank you all.

I LOVE YOU LARRY! I really do. Your method works perfectly, but may I include that YOU NEED SANDISK. I tried 2 other brands, my psp wifi light wont flash or it wont load. Took about 2 minutes and my PSP isnt bricked anymore. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated Thanks in advance!!!!

Pandora + DC works on ALL FIRMWARE, only a hardware update will change this.

A bought a new slim yesterday and discovered that you need to use ported homebrew in order for it to work on a slim. I thought the kernal add on for the fat also worked on a slim. Correct me If I'm wrong because I haven't been able to install the 1.50 kernal add on. The kernal add on will soon become obsolete. I say the fat is still the best, I only got the slim for its larger MS support and the increased RAM.

1.50 kernal add on is only for the fats. A lot of homebrew now is being made for the slim you have get homebrew made for a psp slim. If you have a fat than it doesnt matter. The psp fats are the best to a psp modder.

Wonderful guide. If you follow the steps correctly you'll be playing iso/cso in no time. It took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. Excellent work on this one Larry. ofw 3.95 - to - cfw 3.95 GEN and running!

Desktop - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Nvidia GT 285, 4gb ddr, 2 500gb SATA, nForce 680i LT SLI.

Good lord, please use spell check/grammar check in the future. I can just barely understand what the hell you are posting.

1.A phat pandora battery will work fine in a slim. It will be a tight squeeze, but will fit.

2.Isn't this the same question as 1?

3.How/why would an unbricker brick a psp? I guess if you are inept enough and completely screw up the mms installation it is possible....not probable though.

Just because I am pretty sure you do not know, a slim CANNOT RUN 1.50 FIRMWARE. Do not try.

You must make a new mms if you wish to transform the slim....you will either need to use DC 3, 4, or 5 on it. DC3 contains the lowest possible firmware for a slim, 3.60. DO NOT ATTEMPT ANYTHING LESS.

Unless you do some research, I would recommend you just to use UPMS or UPT. Think of those as "hold your hand auto installers."
