First i thank you for this guide it is the most detailed and easier then any I've ever come across. Now what my problem is going from 3.51 M33 to 3.52 M33 so i can get to 3.71 or higher. I read a lot of messages here and found no one with who is having troubles like me. Just to let you know I'm new to this so please bear with me. Like i said i have 3.51 M33 i tried everything that you posted there step by step and i couldn't downgrade my firmware, i saw that i can change it in the menu of the firmware by holding R and powering on. i tried that also it didn't work. I cant even upgrade straight to 3.52 M33 either. All my psp does when i either try to downgrade or upgrade is the screen turns black, for like 15sec's then turns off. I left it for a while but nothing happened so i powred it back on and it was back to the main Psp menu. Could someone please shed some light on what I'm doing wrong here

Thanks a lot for the guide.

I had a 1.5v running with devhoot.

I replace all new folders and began to upgrade firmware.

When i get to 3.52M33-4

i upgrade to 3.71M33 then 3.80M33 and finally 3.90M33

However when i tried to install 3.71M33-4 it says i couldn t upgrade this since my firmware wasn't 3.71. so i directly upgrade to 3.90M33-2

Is that ok?

Then since i have a old PDP (Fat) i run 1.50 Kernel for 3.90V2

Everything looks good i thing. then i tried to run an old game (Killzone) and it told me can t be started (80020321)

Soeone mentioned to reboot and chose anotehr recovery folder. But when i hold the rigth triger and start it doesn t do anything.

Any help

Thanks

Start PSP till it boots to XMB. Then press the select button on the bar at the bottom. A VSH menu will come up. Go down to ISO Mode and press right till it says Sony NP9660 then exit. Your games should now work.

This was to me the easiest tutorial to read and understand. Believe me I was a total newbie with two almost new psp's and with the original firmware, untouched. Many thanks!!

Hello guys. As you can see I'm a newbie. Please Don't flame me for this post.but i've been on this site for quite some time, but I decided to join today. I'm scared to mess up my PSP Slim. So heres the deal, I just got a slim PSP. The firmware that I have is 3.90. I want to play games off the memory card. What do I need to do? I know that there a lot of instructions on this thread, but I got confused, since I don't want to screw up my PSP slim. Your help will be appreciated.

This guide will not do. You need to use the stickied guide under "GUIDE: Universal Unbricker V3 Using Official Firmware FAT/SLIM PSP".

Just because your new doesn't mean you don't have a pass on searching and using previous threads and guides. The information to help you is already out there. Use it to get informed before attempting to do this.

Hello

I currently have 3.40 oe firmware and I am trying to upgrade to 3.52 using the steps you have provided.
When I click on the 3.52 m33 firmware creator on my xmb's game list, it loads but then says:
"Loading 1.50 firmware...File 150.PBP couldn't be opened. Press X to exit."

Do you happen to have an idea why it won't open?

Either u moved the 1.50 fimrware out of place. Or the update is corrupt. Download another one

There is no 1.50 addon for psp slim 3.95. 1.50 add only works for custom firmware. U have a official firmare.

First check and see what firmware is on your PSP, then follow the corresponding instructions on the Guide.

if u have 1.50 you can just install custom firmware right away without the use of pandora. The pandora lets u downgrade to a custom firmware or a 1.50
