The other eurovox you have there the one you said was working, Upload the CDF off that box to your pc and then download it to that red box. Dont forget to factory default the red before downloading the CDF.

i just tryed a clear data and power scan and found 40 TP but no channels... sh*t. no joy...

It's not a problem providing you do have the correct drivers installed, and correct COMM port assigned, it is a lot more hassle free to have an old laptop or a standalone PC with the correct 9 pin port, and running OS - XP. But check out dooby's graphical guide as well as HiTecks excellent guide to doing the COMM port part, different box (Starview Super), only want you to check/follow the assigning bit, good luck, it is with regards to Vista.

tried it on my PC with xp and wont let me add sofware all i am getting is waiting for the response of your receiver & i followed all the advise on page 1

My Eurovox was stuck on waiting for the response of your receiver, so I just went strate into puting codes in manualy and it works fine now, if you can get to maual codes try it. DJ.

Hey,
I'm currently missing Setanta Ireland, I'm with NTL in Dublin. Scanning for it at 291, 6.875 doesn't work. Anyone know what's going on?

Hi there
im in Dublin with n_l myself and did a factory reset and scan from 290 to Mhz 420 on6.887 and found all the channels no problem

Have flashed my two boxes recently (Eurovox v Black) but one box i have to use the TV remote controls to adjust the Volume, not that important but a little irritating, so any advice please?

Hi, i've updated my eurovox v box with the firmware on page 1 of this thread but when i reconnect my box 2 the tv and check the software version and date its still saying April 18th.
I know i've downloaded it correctly as had 2 do it myself in April, any ideas as 2 why this is happening?

It's alright, that is the version that has been modded to AU, not to worry.

hi,i downloaded the 30/11/08 fix on mine and it shows the same as yours 18/4/08 wouldn't worry though it still updates,easy way of checking if it updates is press menu then yellow button if you have no numbers showing, hey presto.

Hi Guys.
I used the 30/11/08 software and successfully flashed my box, much appreciated for the guide at the start of this thread. However I'm creating a brand new channel data for myself, I've 'upload' the data from the box to my laptop it is working however its when I click edit, to manage my channels / favourites an error report comes up (The program has encountered a problem and needs to close down), with the options, don't send, tell microsoft, and debug.

Hello newbie here! went through the tutorial fine all was good apart from the bit where tv programs appear on my t.v screen! Anyone else suffered this? Tried many times all goes well scanning 770 channels seemingly ok but then goes to another scanninig screen where the quality bar stays in the red and just seems to scan indefinately!Would just like to know if others have had problem, have NTL more or less won the war or am I the only one who cant do it? I have a cloned max and an original maxv and have flashed both fine but I cannot get a single channel out of either! Really close to giving up altogether, any ideas?
