Success for me using AnyDVD 6.4.7.0 and CloneDVD doing movie + menu only. No special features struck me as 'keepable'.
6.4.6.9 failed right in the beginning. I had my doubts with the beta when I saw in the preview pane in CloneDVD the end credits at the beginning but the end result was fine. The end credits made it back to where they should be - the end :)

Txs - I'm glad it was pretty much a piece a cake for me cause I really didn't feeling like screwing around with it tonight.

BTW there have been a few region 1 movies that have had different encryption on the different versions - 2 come to mind - Vantage Point - the single disc had more encryption then the double disc and one of the Saws - the unrated version was the problem 'child'. I just can't remember which Saw it was - they all start to blend together after a while :)

Still having problems processing it the way I want. Got the full disk ripped, no problem w/ DVD Fab, so I am good there. Still trying to use VOBBlanker to narrow it down to movie and menu only, thought that I had it but when it got to the end the credits were gone and the opening scene of the movie replayed causing Media Player to lock. I guess it will have to wait till tomorrow. At least I had partial success and am fairly confident movie only would not be an issue, but I don't want to give up just yet. :D

BTW- Good job Binkie

yeah both Sex In The City and Leatherheads need DVD Rebuilder if you aren't going with a DVD+R DL blank

I am super frustrated with this one. I have tried I believe every way that has been posted still with no deal. This is what I have someone please lead me in the right way. Surely one of these will work.
AnyDVD 6.4.7.0
Ripit for me
DVD Shrink
DVD Devrypter
DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.0.5.0
DVDFab HD Decrypter 5.0.9.0
CloneDVD 2.9.1.7
VobBlanker

if clonedvd + anydvd aren't working then you have a hardware problem (some optical drives will not transcode heavy protected movies) try another drive. or it could be confliting software if you have a box system Dell,HP etc. also make sure the DVD is clean and scratch free even a fingerprint can cause transcoding problems

What worked for me for those with DVD Rebuilder, with a small caveat:

-- Rip full disc with DVDFab 5.0.8.0
-- (Shrink can't deal with it, as we know)
-- Loaded DVD Rebuilder and chose Movie Only mode
-- Everything fine except one little thing. The burned movie starts playing and immediately jumps to the 8-minute mark. Go figure. Had to manually step back with my player's remote till about the 5 second mark since going all the way back to the beginning made it jump to 8 minutes again. Played flawlessly from a few seconds after the beginning till the end.

This is because there are a few cells in the beginning that need to be blanked. You can do this using the segment viewer.

I agree.
DVD Shrink shows the main movie as unreferenced but after using DVD Rebuilder, that little bug no longer exists.

There really isn't a problem using almost any version of DVDFab either. It just doesn't look right when opened in DVD Shrink. It still plays correctly.

I guess I left off some information last night! Ok, here's what I did to get the movie only. Ripped it with DVD Clone 2 (latest version) and Any DVD and then burned it with Decrypter. The movie I had was Region 1. That's it! Got a perfert copy, but remember, this is the movie only! Not sure it will work for entire disk with menus and extras. Probably will try. I'll let you all know.

DITTO!!! This is the worst encryption to date. Even anydvd 6.4.7.0
Doesnt decrypt enough for dvdshrink. Its a shame the FAB and Slysoft cant put their heads together. What i mean is Dvdfab doesnt run with anydvd. WHAT A SHAME. Working together they would be unparalleled! Wish i new a thing or two about cracking. i would love to dive into this. ANY TUTORIALS ON THE WEB? Suppose i'll look.

omegaman7, what in the world is wrong with you? I and others on here have laid out a plan for you to be able to copy and burn a full copy of leatherheads and you can't even follow it?
pay attention and do a little footwork yourself
good luck
