Wow thanks man that guide was quick, easy and it worked! My torrent has already jumped 70+ KB/s in download speed since I did this.

If that isn't Photoshop....you must be a very happy person.
BTW, how much did that cost you to have a download speed like that? Shouldn't you have a higher upload speed with such a large download speed?
Anyway, that's cool if those are real results.

Ok i'm really confused here. I have fios with the D-link router. Using Utorrent i'm sometimes able to get download speeds of 600-700 for about two minutes then it goes down to around 100.i'm suppose to have a 15/2 connection(whatever that means) but i dont think i'm getting my moneys worth.also when i do the tweak test am i using a normal connection or a routerppoe connection? I totally have no idea what i'm doing here so any help would be appreciated.I did the speed test after shutting down utorrent and it gave me 1806 for upload.

Can Somebody help me?????
Hello, I've been using utorrent for awhile now and I've never really felt that my configuration was up to par. My max DL speed is 5984kbps and UP is 425kbps. Bellsouth is my ISP and they say they do not shape/throttle P2P traffic. My modem made by Netopia with a built in NAT. I forwarded my port exactly how portforward.com told me.
I've used the speed guide setting, but my UL speed is between 384kbps and 512kbps.
What I really want to know is this. I do alot of uploading to a private tracker, but I would like to be able to download a file (every now and then) at the same time w/o making my seeding file suffer too much and take all day. So what should my max # of connected peers, max upload slots, global max up speed, and other tweaks you can think of.
I've patched my tcp connections, changed net.max.half_open to 50, and I use a high number port, but not above 65555.

try lowering the max connections to 100 and set ur uplaod much lower, like 50 K or whatever 80% of ur max is ;)

max connections goes under maximum connections and max upload is located at global maximum upload rate

OK this is REALLY starting to tick me off because I finally got it to run really fast but the ETA keeps jumping from highest to lowest and finally to highest.(1 week and 5 days for a 1.40 GB file)

OK I got it to work but Im still concerned if I have it running at a fast speed. (Sory for Triple Posting)
EDIT:Well my Download speed ranges from 40-80 kb While my Upload speed ranges from 60-90 kb
Though my Download goes ALOT Faster (While it's slower on others :P) Isn't it supposed to go faster?

please post ur speed test, and i will help you with ur settings...also are u on a private tracker?
