X-oom software only encodes for below 2.80, so they need to be in the right folder.
Its shite software anyway, i recommend XVID4PSP.

I have been using DVDFab Decrypter Platinum to convert dvd to psp and is working good, but to cut some more Megabytes i recode with PSP9
i have 3 full movies in my memory(2GB) among other stuffs like pictures and mp3, and 2 movies in one 1GB maong other things too.
I use sound 96kbps, video 29fps 500kbps more or less, max resolution. The sound and video quality output are perfect, even after recoding with PSP9.

If your running V1.50 or SE-B,C or OE-A use XVID4PSP and PMPMODAVC and encode to X264PMP.
Sonys native player is locked at 78600 pixels, PMPMODAVC runs the movies at 130560 pixels much much better.
Here is my guide: XVID4PSP

If it hasnt already been said, DVD Shrink is good, easy to use free software for ripping content from dvds.

I have a 2GB card, that I got for $50, try ebay. Thats the best place to go.
