EDIT: nvm it's working fine now! thanks i've found the program and everything now!!! i'll let you know if i have audio sync issues or anything but it's looking NICE!! thanks a bunch and the file size was 3.96mb and it came out to 2.80mb....anyway to get those files smaller and still have same great quality and same great picture? or not? thanks

It all depends on the bitrate i dont go lower than 400kbps and use two pass encode, takes twice as long but well worth it. ;)

Does anyone know what quality profile to use when transcoding a mpg music video or video clip with Psp video 9 to make it the smallest?

As i said above mate it all depends what bitrate you use for both video an audio, use the smallest rate you can for both, but visual and sound wise it will be poor.

hey sudds wut's the lowest stuff i can use for XviD for psp cuz i did 5.00 fps and that worked so then i tried 5.00fps and 1 bitrate and audio bitrate 64 but then it said can't find video for encoded video so i just changed bitrate to 16 then it encoded that but said cannot find encoded audio this time so i changed bitrate to 75 for that then it did both audio and video and said couldn't mux audio and video together so wut's the lowest stuff i can do it on or good settings to get the lowest possible amount of space i can for a video? thanks and why all those errors? thanks again

thanks much for that but yes still says same thing if you try to encode an AVI video to pmp avc at 1 or 16 bitrates and or 64 bitrates audio but the 5 fps works fine if you have video bitrate 768 and audio 112 soooo.....i have no idea i guess i'll just keep experimenting till i find lowest bitrate i can do it on....btw would you happen to know the site for AVI synth 2.5 where u got it from cuz i got it but i think maybe if i reinstall that it'll work =)
thanks

The thing is Dan, if you convert a file with a higher bitrate than the actual input file it does degrade in quailty.

is there a better program besides pspvideo9??? i was using winavi but now the problem is that even though i would set to widescreen, most of video image would be cut off from the top and bottom. pspvideo9 is not able to convert files such as asf and wmv. i tried but for some reason a 2 min was going to take more than 3 hrs. When i used Winavi it did it quickly but the video was cut off.

Hey guys I got a problem. I am using imtoo dvd to psp converter. Its simple to use and I think its working right. I get the entire movie on the memory stick with sound and al. Picture is great and sound is great.....BUT at the end of each chapter, I have to manually go out of it and go to the next one to continue watching the movie. Is there anyway to loop it all together? When I go to repeat, it will only repeat that chapter.
PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME. ITS ANNOYING

use Nero Vision and press Make Movie, add all of them, encode it together, use PSP Video 9 to convert it to PSP Format if Nero can't.
PLEASE Make a guide for the new PSP VIDEO 9 when it comes out, it will help out a lot of people having problems with PSP Video Conversion...
Actually, I might do...
Let's wait 'n see...

You should be using (if your 1.50 owner) PMPMOD AVC by Jonny of DOOM9, its a third party player for PSP, enabling you to play full res 480x272 AVC movies on your 1.50 PSP.

It depends what firmware your running.
2.00 or higher use DVD Decrypter and MeGUI.
1.50 use DVD Decrypter with Xvid4PSP or Mediacoder to make 480X272 AVC PMP movies for play back with a third party player called PMPMOD AVC.
