As i said in another post, MP4,s created for the PSP have different headers than that of an ordinary MP4, you could try ATOMCHANGER to change these headers, otherwise upgrade to 2.80, but i wouldnt advise that, its up to you.

With 2.80 you have no need for ATOMCHANGER and the files do not have to be called M4V, MAQ etc, instead of putting them into MP_ROOT you create another folder in the PSP folder called VIDEO, they no longer need specfic headers and standard MP4 can work, but there is still some limitions.
But you still need MP_ROOT and the old folders for movies with extensions M4V and MAQ.

Like i said there is some limitions, res size of the movie cant be bigger than 78600 pixels (around that anyway.) If it wont play, reencode it. Whats your firmware? and where are you trying to put this movie?

Less of your lip mate.
Do you not think it would be quicker to rip it?
I rip all my stuff, couldnt be bothered waiting for a torrent, plus you can edit before encoding so you dont have to put up with ghosting and other s**t.
Just rip the damn thing...

Ok, you could download Vamp, but more than likely it wont be an ISO (disc image)so no need it rip it, it probably would be converted to AVI or XviD etc to keep its file size down, so then you could just convert it for your PSP.

This actually very lengthy process to make a psp movie.
I think the website http://www.i'manidiot.com edited by ddp may be helpful in this case.

i was converting a movie for psp using guide at the beggining of this thread, used decryptor to get single VOB file, when i run it through psp9 it says 22 hrs left to convert to mp4, is that standard for that amount of time ?, it was a 4 gb file after decryptor.

PSPvideo9 does that some times, time left is all over the place.
Dont worry about it, just let it run its course.

I dunno if anyone cares anymore, but I got an anime show about 22 minutes long that was originally 0.99 GB, and shortened it to 54 MB using PSP Video 9. I'm not lying...use these settings: SP/368x208/29.97fbps/QB7 Stereo/96kbps
Pros: Fills up the whole PSP screen...no annoying black bars, plus same sound quality.
Cons: The movie is kinda twitchy and sometimes there's VERY little distortion around moving things...but overall who cares. At this size you can only imagine how many episodes I can fit on my 2 GB card and still have room for music, pictures and games.
BTW: I dunno if they still have this sale going on, but I got my 2 GB card (SanDisk) at Best Buy for $50. It works...amazingly. The equivalent Sony card is worth around $119.99 (FYI).

Well if your running firmware 1.50 or 2.71 SE-A you shouldnt be using PSPvideo9! ;)
Jonnys PMPMODAVC and XVID4PSP encodes 480x272 PMP AVC movies the finest quailty you,ll see from an encode!

I usually like top quality videos too, but not when they take up half my memory. -_________-
So I don't mind a little distortion here and there.
PSP Video 9 works awesome with my PSP...I don't have any issues with it... (My psp is version 2.71) ...really easy to use! =D
