** UPDATE ** NEW kit for DVD9 DL GT4 Burning
FYI:
I didn't realize the original DVD9 Kit I sent out (For people burning to DL discs)...CDVDGen only exports one layer for a set of iml/ims files, so I had to re-do the IML/IMS files, one pair for each layer of the DVD....plus I had also forgotten to give each ISO a volume label..don't think it really matters, but I put it in there like the original....
So, the readme.txt in the zip explains what to do..you will be making 2 ISOs, Yes 2 images....one for each LAYER of the DL disc....
You will just have to figure out how to burn LAYER0.ISO to layer 0, and LAYER1.ISO to layer1...
(at least I assume this is how you do it!)
Please see ps2hd.com for the posted kit (currently in the PAL GT4 Thread, working on putting it in the other GT4 thread as well)...

So all the patches have been released now, even a DVD9 burn patch. But nobody can confirm yet. Weird that when finally someone cracked one of the most anticipated games with the longest forum-thread, suddenly it is quiet even though the patch was released yesterday and has been downloaded hundreds of time.
Can anybody confirm if the DVD9 patch is 100% working, and what version of GT4 you guys are using. Is it Strike's version, JEI's version or GAT's version. All of them were nuked back then, and several more were released and nuked. I guess it's now time to reseed them on torrent since a patch might complete things, right ?

I think the problem is figuring out how to make a single DVD9 ISO out of the two ISOs that are created from the IML/IMS files that CDVDGEN creates for the dual layer setup....
If the modified core.gt4 file came out as exactly the same size as the original, you could just stuff it right back into the orignal DVD9 ISO that everyone has.....any ISO tools that let you "inject" modified files into an ISO image to replace a file in the image, only allow it to happen if the file being injected is EXACTLY the same size as the file currently in the image..
I'm presently trying to figure out a way to do this as well..but am not there yet...

somebody has proven to record the resulting image of the CDGEN in a Dvd-r DL and to load it with swap?
I think that if works in a HD, must work with swap, because the difference is enough
I need your loving, like the sunshine.

Perhaps it might be possible to manipulate the location (sectors) of GT4L1.VOL when making the .iml in order to create one big single layer - iso. It should be possible to calculate the location so that GT4L1.VOL begins on layer1... ?!
... don't know if it works; I will try it tonight.

I had tried numerous times to flatten my iso (a while back) to dvd5 unsuccesfully i actually d/l'd dvd5 copy from bt...thinks its about 5gig, my question is can this process work on the d/l dvd5 version? i'm no good at all this extracting/rebuilding/flattening s--t...
If only i could pop my orig disc in my pc drive, run a program and voila! a burnable disc iso is created (or for hdloader) ah well - hint, hint ;)

Hey Toolboy remember when you said you ported the IOPRP.img from Metal Gear Substance to patch the IOPRP.img in GT4.I was wondering why not use the God of War IOPRP.img file right,seems like it already had the checks removed just has to be modified right.The CORE.GT4 has to be worked on some more in order to extract and downsize for SM peeps that is in the works though.Other than that HDD users are in top notch shape.

If someone has a working version of CD/DVD Generator 1.50, please let me know where I can get.
I have to make this IML file on my own, But the problem is...
It cannot make the file beyond 4.7GB, it always comes out, size exceeding error, Please if anyone there who solved this problem...help me if you like.
I also patched this CD/DVD generator with 1.50 patch by 2SP program..

I've got a question about using Apache to extract the 2 layers.
I extracted the 1st layer containing GT4.VOL and the other folders into:
C:\test\GRANTURISMO4\
My question is this:
Do I extract the other layer containing GT4L1.VOL into C:\test\GRANTURISMO4\ or do I extract it into C:\test\ ?
The reason I ask this is because if I extract GT4L1.VOL into c:\test\GRANTURISMO4\ , Apache will create another folder named GRANTURISMO4 within that directory.
Does GT4L1.VOL belong in the main directory:
c:\test\GRANTURISMO4\
or should it just be in the seperate directory
c:\test\GRANTURISMO4\GRANTURISMO4\?

are you sure about that? mine didn't make another folder,it went straight in to C:/test/granturismo4
i'm assuming your meaning that it's extracting the next layer into something like this...C:/test/granturismo4/granturismo4...well it shouldn't...like i said mine went straight into the designated directory..you are SAVING to c:\test\GRANTURISMO4\ manually aren't you?
