You will need a mod to play the burnt games, you dont need a modchip as there is swap magic which is cheap and doesnt void your warrenty.
Here is what it does :)
If you have the older fatter version ps2 you have to take off the front tray, and then you put in the right one cd/dvd depending what game it is, and when the cd has loaded you put in the slide tool and slide it to the right open the tray swap for the game and then push the tray in and put the tool in again then push it to the right you will feel a little object there release pressure and go over that bump and than push it to the left and the tray should lock, press X then your done :)
With the slim one you have to insert three pieces :)

from waht i understand so far with most games(non-online, non-dual layer) can be burnt slimply though DVD Decrypter,
when i use DVD Decrypter it give me a mds file and a rar file i wrote it on a blank disk selcting the mds file for source and the blank disk fordestination.

Livnlarg Ok you can burn a game with online capabilities with DD you just wont be able to go online :) Second when you have used dd you should get an MDS and an ISO file :) When burning its best that you use good brand media as cheapy media usually doesnt work, also 4x or as slow as you can for speed is best :)
Ok now go to http://www.swapmagic3.com for more info and read my post above yours on what it does :)
savedby Hey, ok your ps2 has a disc tray right?? To find out what version you have go here http://www.mod-chip.com/ps2version.htm :) Let me know what version it is when you have found out :)
Ok if you have a tray you can still use swap magic, you will use the slide tool :) Its easy to use once you get used to it :)

I have the fatter version of ps2. I have dvd decryptor and I don't wanna have to make any mods to my ps2. What else do i need to make this work. I can burn the games using dvd decryptor, i just can't get them to work in the console. I'm sure i could find the answers if i fish around on all the forums and piece them all together, but it would be greaty appreciated if someone gave me a step by step and any other shit i would need. Thanks in advance!!!

Ok
savedby here is how to use the slide tool and what is need to use it http://www.success-hk.com/manual/slide-tool/ :) Also some people use the flip-top replacement case which looks like this its up to you :) depending where you live you can get it quite cheap, where do you live???
bryanE You will need to mod your ps2, just check out what i have posted about swap magic as it doesnt void your warrenty unless you change your case to a flip-top.

I got a PAL PS2 and would like to play a PS1 NTSC Game and my question is that will the Neo Key SBOX ModChip allow me to do that?
Or does it only allow to play copies from the same region as your console i.e PAL in my case. Thanks (Sorry for being off topic)

it means you are trying to rebuild something that is far too small
make sure you have added all the files/folders etc into cd/dvd gen

i'm trying to rebuild katamri demacy but when copying to the hard drive it fails at the end. The game was delevered this morning wrapped, Im trying to rebuild because its NTSC and wont boot on my PAL modded ps2 (neo 2.2)-crap and old chip. Could this mean that the game is a dud or does the game have copyright protection that wont let me copy it and if thats the case is there any way of getting around the protection.
thanks

i'm in desperate need of help. i have the old version NTSC ps2 (version 10 i think), maxtor 120 gb hdd, network adapter, and hd advance 2.0 software. question is, will i be able to store ps2 games that i download (whether it be NTSC or pal) on the hdd using only hdadvance 2.0? will hdadvance recognize these downloaded games after i burn them or what?!? please answer as soon as possible since i'm already downloading a game that will take me forever to download and i wouldn't want to waste my bandwidth on something that won't work.
