4x is best no higher or as low as you can, and verbatim,TY are some of the best media to use.
If you want it for online play then yes you will have to patch it.
http://members.cox.net/candrid2/index.html you can get it here.
Also your talking about piracy which isnt allowed, unless you own the games.

AMD Athlon 64 FX-55, MSI K8N Neo4-F Motherboard, Creative Labs T5400 5.1 Surround Sound Speaks, Pioneer DVR-109 16X DVD Burner, MSI GeForce 8800 GTS PCIe GFX Card, 1 GB Value Ram.

i wont reburn this as i kinda completed it anyway... but i always like to know what went wrong, so i can make sure it doesnt again!

Well how would I do this with DVD Shrink and Nero? Do I have to have Decrypter? Also Is there a protection and do I have to compress.
ANd lastly what mod chip do you recommend and what is a good, reputable site.

dvd shrink is for movies, not ps2 games
you can copy ps2 games with Nero, but DVD Decrypter does the job also
there is no real protection on ps2 games, just some with annoying files which sometimeshave to be removed, when using swapmagic disk's
as for modchips, the DMS4,or the matrix infinity is the best way to go,
but as for a recommended site, not so sure
but check this site out,(very good)

Sup peeps, i downloaded "charlie and the chocolate factory for PS2 (full DVD PAL) from "http://www.torrent'p'.com/"... aint i allowed to post this? i wouldn't no...anyways... the torrent was 888MB... once finished, opened and extracted the file inside was an ISO with the size of *4,548,032*... when rebulit, it shrank down to *1.17GB*
Now someone stated:
Quote: open the image in isobuster, and on the left hand side,
select "session",...extract session1<image>,
>user data...tao/iso
this will give you a session1.tao image
rename the tao to iso,so it looks like this
session1.iso
then burn it,it will now load
Is that a possible working methode? if anyone else has any ideas they are all welcome... please dont ask me about my DVD media or the speeds im doing them at cause i know thats not the problem...
but the funny thing is, when i load it with swapmagic 3.6, if i press X it takes me back to the menu screen where it has the memory card and "reading disc" then the red screen comes saying insert ps2 disc"... if i press special boot [], it loads but wont go no further then a black screen...!
i have about 5cds on waste now.. since i started this backup business... i no its probably nothing compared to most of you here, but... its stressfull that you can't get it right the first time all the time!

i wrote that
and i dont think you can rebuild this game,
i wasted enough disks trying to get it to work for someone who has swapmagic disk's
it has a layout text doc,and at this time i dont know yet how to fix this,(yet)
and i am not wasting any more disks on this crap game

to hursty:
This methode worked for me, step by step info:
1) File downloaded (Size 888MB)
2) File opened using WinZIP or Winrar
3) Contents of zip = 4,548,032 .iso file and a commerical html file
4) Enter password to extract the .iso from the zip file into its own folder on desktop (i named it Charlie And The Chocolate Factory)
5) Open iso buster & drag the .iso from the folder to the left side
6) Right Click on the File session then extract session1<image> then >user data...tao/iso
7) Save it to Your desktop (do not change the name)
8) This will create this file session1.tao
9) Once extracting done, close ISObuster, and go to your desktop, rename the file from: session1.tao TO session1.iso (only the last 3 letters need to be changed)
10) Open DVD-dycrypter, mode, ISO, write, get the image session1.iso from your desktop and burn at 4x speed.
11) The final file on the DVD should be around 4.2-4.7GB...NO Rebuliding neccesery because it removes alot of files that need to load up the game and so on...
PS: i use TDK unbranded DVD-R's 2x speed but i burn at 4x speed and it works perfect!
PS (again): i only played a bit of this game.. and seems silly, if you can get it to work the first time or second, just give up, not worth it unless you paid 10cents per DVD CD...
The Methode:
Quote: open the image in isobuster, and on the left hand side,
select "session",...extract session1<image>,
>user data...tao/iso
this will give you a session1.tao image
rename the tao to iso,so it looks like this
session1.iso
then burn it,it will now load

No you cant burn dvds with a cd burner, if you could that would be pretty good ;)
And yes you will need one of them the swap magic discs are to discs cd/dvd. if you have the older fatter version ps2 you have to take off the front tray, and then you put in the right one cd/dvd depending what game it is, and when the cd has loaded you put in the slide tool and slide it to the right open the tray swap for the game and then push the tray in and lock it with the tool and prees X then your done :)
With the slim one you have to insert three pieces :)
For more info go to http://www.swapmagic3.com
