[QUOTE]As far as i know most of the emulators when used with Swap Magic or any other swap disc style mod require that you have shortened file names (8 characters for SNES station) Actually It will take longer than 8 characters, but it will only show up to 8, so my suggestion is edit them where you will know what they are, make sure they have ext .smc though, I used a bulk edit utility to do mine. I have a dvd with about 1.9g of used space on snes roms,SMS and Sega Gen

NO, its a game program just as any other game, the only differance is its not made for the PS, thats why you have to "trick" the PS by MOD'n,Fliptop or Slide card.

what exactly do you mean does the fliptop have a CD? you need a special CD and DVD, depending on the game you want to play. you need to get swap magic disks (SMD) to use with the fliptops. hope that helps.

Ok, does it matter with snes station if the roms are in smc or nes format?
Edit:
Sorry, i was dropped on my head as a child. I guess that nes extension is not for the super nintendo

.nes for all NES games and .SMC for all SNES.
Otherwise the Emulator will not reconize it, usually it wont even show it in the folder on the PS2

SNES Station supports also zipped roms if they are in individual packages.

i wanted to help keep this thread alive because i wanted to help spread the word to others about emulators. they are really something that not many people take advantage of but really should. why not multipupose your machine?
as for the neogeo emulator check it out here: http://neocd.ps2-scene.org/
the gameboy adavanced emulator is in the works as we speak (around 78% done) but should be done within a few weeks, ill post a link when its released.
on a seperate note, that link left by RemyK313 is a pretty good one, has lots of emulators for download, check it out: http://www.zophar.net/consoles/ps2.html
This notice was place back in february and if it was 78% then id imagine it would be pretty close now if not done... are the any new updates on this or what percent is it at what site can i go to keep up on this?
