gcy you never update from 1.5 to another FW.(or only to 3.10 OE-A2)
3.11 is what the devhook 0.52 will use. Go back in this thread and look for my tutorial.(I think page 46)
or try this installer http://www.psp-haxors.com/devhook-firmwa...6f/811#comments
ricardo11 I like 3.10 OE better but you can update to 3.03 OE.(or Devhook v52.01)
larsinii you need a UMD in the drive.
boognish Did you flash the flash1? or use my tutorial so you do not need to flash?
AlanNguye OE custom firmwares has an option so you do not need a UMD.(but some games do not work)
jfs2 you can not do anything with a 3.10 psp. (No downgrade or iso's for you) you need a 1.5 psp

Thanks juan2320, I followed your tutorial, but now all that happens is when I reboot the psp from devhook, the screen goes black for 5 secs then the PSP powers off?

juan2320,
You say Devhook v0.52.0100 is an update?, is it possible to install v0.52.0100 from scratch?. I would like to install the same way as I did with your last guide (no flash). Please could you advise me, can I download a full version of v0.52.0100 so I can follow your guide again.
Thanks

ricardo 11,
3.xxoe is custom firmware, this can only be installed on to 1.5fw PSP's. Custom firmware has a recovery mode which will allow you to go back to 1.5fw if needed.
Devhook is used on 1.5 PSP's to emulate firmware.
I have 2 PSP's, 1 has 3.10oe and the other has Devhook, I like to have both because one runs ISO's that the other wont.
I find custom firmware the best mainly because you can play Playstation 1 games. Also ISO/CSO's run straight from the ISO folder, no need for going into menu's like you have to do with Devhook.
If you are not interested in playing Playstation 1 games then I would stick with Devhook, works great for me.

I can confirm that atleast i downgraded my TA-082 smoothly. I had fw 2.5 initially than i upgraded to 2.71, to downgrade i downloaded 2.81 fw to 1.5 fw downgrader Specially for TA-082 psp

Your welcome ricardo11,
I installed Devhook 5.2 using juan2320?s great tutorial (page 47 of this thread), worked first time. This will allow you to emulate 3.03fw. I am looking at updating to the latest version which will emulate 3.11fw, but to be honest I haven?t come across any games what require 3.11fw. I would say go for v52 for now (guide below) as this guide works.. I will let you know when I have updated mine to v0.52.0100, I am working on getting a tutorial for installing the new version. You can get installers that will do it for you but these will install Devhook to flash, I was told this can be risky, So I decided I would go the safe way and use this method:
Credit to juan2320 who created the following guide:
Here is my Devhook v52(3.03 FW) install tutorial with No flashing.
1.Copy the devhook 0.52 package to the root of your memory stick. This would be ms0:/ and the three folders should be "dh", "PSP" and "fbm".
2.Download the 3.03 update.(eboot)
3.Get PSARDumper(that can dump 3.03 FW) by Team C+D
4.Extract the DATA.PSAR from the 3.03 update you've downloaded with a program such as PBP Unpacker or PSP Brew (a PC app)
5.Once thats done, copy the DATA.PSAR over to the root of your memory stick.
6.Run PSARDumper on your PSP, once its loaded up press X to dump a sigchecked 3.03. Once its done your PSP will return to the main menu.
7.Open up your memory stick, you will now see that there is an "F0" folder in the root. Move that to the "303" folder inside of "dh".
8.Then get a flash1 folder from a 2.71 FW dump(271) that you had in DHv46 and rename it to f1. and put the f1 in the 303 folder that has the f0 of the 3.03 FW you dumped.
9.Launch up devhook and choose "FIRMWARE" from the devhook menu and pick 3.03. Now start devhook.
Good Luck!!!

boognish is Devhook working for you? (can you play games)
I do not know why you get that.(reinstall it)
newgen06 there is no full version of v0.52.0100(to make it full you need DHv52) put the DHv52 files in your MS then the DHv52.01
Now you can follow my guide again but with FW 3.11
ricardo11 3.10 OE-A is a new FW that you update to.(so you will not have a 1.5) but you will not need Devhook. The games in the ISO folder will be where all your app's are at.(press a game and it will start)
and there is only one DHv52.(and the update DHv52.01)
mandeep22 there is a 2.71 and 3.03 downgrader for TA-082 psp's.
(newgen06 I don't think I needed to update my tutorial but here it is) It's doing the same thing I only added a new step(2.)
Here is my Devhook v52.01(3.11 FW) install tutorial with No flashing.
1.Copy the devhook 0.52 package to the root of your memory stick. This would be ms0:/ and the three folders should be "dh", "PSP" and "fbm".
2.Copy the DevHook 0.52.0100 package to the root of the MS.(the "dh" folder)
3.Download the 3.11 update.(eboot)
4.Get PSARDumper(that can dump 3.11 FW) by Team C+D
5.Extract the DATA.PSAR from the 3.11 update you've downloaded with a program such as PBP Unpacker or PSP Brew (a PC app)
6.Once thats done, copy the DATA.PSAR over to the root of your memory stick.
7.Run PSARDumper on your PSP, once its loaded up press X to dump a sigchecked 3.11. Once its done your PSP will return to the main menu.
8.Open up your memory stick, you will now see that there is an "F0" folder in the root. Move that to the "311" folder inside of "dh".
9.Then get a flash1 folder from a 2.71 FW dump(271) that you had in DHv46 and rename it to f1. and put the f1 in the 311 folder that has the f0 of the 3.11 FW you dumped.
10.Launch up devhook and choose "FIRMWARE" from the devhook menu and pick 3.11. Now start devhook.
Note that if you used a previous devhook version that installed
to flash1, you should use the "uninstall DH files from flash1" option before doing this.(Launch up devhook and go to "FLASH ROM" settings)

I am having sound problems and button problems with Devhook. I am on 3.10 OE-A' running 3.03 via Devhook 0.52 (for lcscheatdevice and vcscheatdevice). I can use the actual UMD of LCS so that works fine, but the UMD of VCS broke, so I am using my backup. I started Devhook with VCS selected in File Emulation and the UMD did show up, so I started it and then I found problems. There was no sound, and the Home, Volume Up, Volume Minus, Screen Brightness, and Note Button do nothing. If it makes any difference having backed up VCS I converted it to a .cso so I am using that, so if that is the problem I do have the .iso still.

Ok I am new to custom firmware. I don't use it, but I installed it on someone else's psp just fine. I put that new shooter game demo in the game folder, but when I try to boot it up it just give me that error number thing. I use dev hook so I am not use to this custom stuff. Also in custom firmware where do I put the iso's to load them up? Thanks.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

Well that could be it, but I don't think so because just running the .cso straight off and not going through Devhook and it works fine. I might try your method later tho, thanks!

ricardo11,
I can't see there being a problem in having one version of Devhook on one memory stick and another on the other. It works in my case anyway as I didn't flash install Devhook. Just exit out of Devhook before you switch memory sticks. May be a problem if you have flash installed though!!!.
Just updated my mine to Devhook 52.0100 emulating 3.11, I brought a bigger memory stick so I kept the old version on the old stick, just incase of any problems you can go back to the old version by switching cards.
Hope this helps dude.

ricardo11, to be honest im not sure how you can check if it has been installed onto flash, it's more than likely it would as most people tend to do it that way. Best thing to do is exit Devhook so you are running 1.5 again and follow juan2320's manual install tutorial on page 47 of this thread. I would make a backup of your memory stick before you format it. Install Devhook to the memory stick, even if v46 was flashed it shouldn't harm it as you are not flashing, only installing onto the memory stick.
Sorry I can't help you more, I have only been into PSP firmware/Devhook for a few weeks myself.

if you are not sure before you format the memory stick go to the device hook menu in the option "FLASH INSTALL" choose the third option "uninstall DH files from flash1"
