well i've kinda read a lot of stuff but all i eventually come to is its not our fault if this bricks ur psp and thats not a risk i want to take so essentially to narrow down my question is is their a definitely safe way to downgrade a TA-082 PSP from firmware 2.0 to firmware 1.5 without risk of bricking. or can i upgrade to another firmware and use devhook from there?

All the time you flash anythig to your psp there is risk of bricking.(downgrade or updating to 3.10 OE-A)
and if it's a TA-082 PSP you will need to update to 2.71 and use the 2.71 downgrader(not the MPH downgrader)
or you can upgrade to 2.71 and use devhook from there with Hen-D.(search for Hen-D)
but I think it's better to downgrade to 1.5

k thx and sorry bout the topic but i was thinking you'd hafta downgrade to 1.5 then you can use devhook would that be right?

ok thanks guys but after reading some of the stuff about 3.10 OE-A i thinjk ill stick with 3.01 seems as it does all i want really. But can any one answer the other questions i asked and also wen i brought my 1.5 the guy gave me a load of games dvds half of which he said have bn sorted and i can load and play them fine but the other ones from the other dvds i cant play at all they just wont load, he said i need to unpack and sort them or something but i dont actually have a clue how any ideas bearing in mind im not amazing at doing all this stuff ??

Or, you could upgrade to 2.71 and use Devhook for 2.71. I got it so it can emulate up to 3.11. But, it's your choice.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

np494309 if you don't what to downgrade to 1.5 you can use Hen-D in 2.71(search for it) and don't post here for Hen-D help.
TOM321 This is only for Devhook. Why are you posting for other things?(search for what you need)
and if you need to unpack(uncompress) the other games in the dvd I think you will need WinRAR.

hi again, my psp version is 1.52 (that´s what it says in the system information) how can I get it to the 3.10 oeA' version? can I get it directly from the 1.52 version, or i need to update it to some other version before? for any of the answers can someone tell me how to get it to the 3.10 oeA' version?

upgrade to 2.00, downgrade to 1.5, then upgrade to 3.10 oe-a. this is a devhook forum, so idk why u are even asking about 3.10 oe-a

sorry about the topic that wasnt about devhook, but im new at this and i really needed help. now i have my psp with the 3.10 oe-a' version, i had no problem with that, but now i have a major problem. ive got some games in .iso but i have no umds, how can i play them without the umds? i think this has something to do about the devhook, right?

Help my isos don't show up in 3.03 oe-c and when i lanch devhook it freezes when menu is preset to emulation

Question for juan2320,
The Guide you created for Devhook 52 manual install without flashing,
worked for me without a flaw, thankyou for that.
Will this guide be the same for the new DevHook v0.52.0100, as I would like to emulate 3.11.

hello. i'm new to all these devhook so i don't know what i should get for an upgrade. my psp's got FW 2.0 and i'm using DV 0.46 in it but some of the newer games can't play in it. what should i get as an upgrade? please help!!! i really don't know what to do. bless you people as you got the knowledge and the skills to do it and i don't.
and also, after i upgrade it, can it still play all the old ISO games that play on 2.71?
and also, can you give me step by step instructions on how to upgrade it? thanks a lot!!!

no its for custom firmware.

2. the latest devhook is .52 i think
3. yes the latest one should be able to support the same ones the older one could, and more

piojorate didn't you see my post before yours.(This thread is only for Devhook) and No UMD is some thing for 3.10 oe-a.(not devhook)
Look in the Readme so you know how 3.10 oe-a work.(it tell you all you need)
hack_man you need to tell me all you do with devhook.
newgen06 why are you asking the same thing that you asked on the last page here?(and I sed yes it works) and here is what I sed in the last page here.(didn't you look)
it's the same thing but know you are dumping 3.11 FW.
Do not delete Devhook 52(you need it) you only need to put the new DevHook v0.52.0100 files over you old ones.(then dump FW 3.11 and put it in the 311 folder)

I want to install Devhook on a new memory stick (bigger one). So it will be a clean install.
The new version of Devhook appears to have different files, the rar archive has:
MS_ROOT/dh/05,05beta,311.
It's step 8 im worried about, do I still to use a flash1 folder from 2.71?. Could you run through what I need to do for a clean install.
I have download all the items needed. Just need some help on what goes where.

newgen06 all you need to do is move all your DHv52 files form one MS to the other MS.
Then in new DHv52.01 move the dh folder to the root of your MS.(some files are the same as DHv52 so overwrite them)
Yes you still use a flash1 folder from 2.71 (it's all the same but know you will dump 3.11)and put it in the new 311 folder
and DHv52.01 is only an update so you need to have DHv52 on your MS.

what ever happened to the devhook installation guide? I found that really helpful and now I need to install devhook and I got no idea how its done. I haven't even touch my PSP for serveral months now.
If I install devhook 0.52, do I need to upgrade to fw 3.11 from 1.50?

Hi, I have a devhook prob I can't seem to find the answer to, I had Devhook 0.46 running FW 2.60 perfectly on my 1.50 PSP, I installed devhook 0.520100 & the fw's using devhook firmware installer, all works fine until devhook reboots & all I get is the multilanguage blues screen saying "settings corrupt, press O to restore" or words to that effect, I press O, PSP resets, blue screen again, do this 4 times & I'm back to FW 1.50 again.
I've tried changing all the settings, re-installing, everything.
the weird thing is when I select my ISO & reboot, the blue screen comes up, but my iso is running behind it, music & all.
It is probably something obvious but I've spent so long banging my head at it I can't see it, can someone please point it out, thanks Nish

i think it would be better if you manually install it yourself boognish. I dont really like relying on an app to do the work for me. Its really not hard, also try to get the latest devhook like from qj.net. The blue screen you see is the BsoD ( blue screen of death).
@larsinii yeah you definitely need a umd in the drive or it won't work. You even need it for the OE custom firmwares.
