Alright I'm a complete newb to DevHook, in fact I only found out about it this morning. I have a PSP 1.5 and I have been using ISO files on a Fast Loader emulator for 8 months now, it was only this morning that I downloaded a CSO file and then found out that DevHook could play it. But I know nothing about DevHook, I mean I looked at a few sites and I understood absolutely nothing about it, can someone please tell me what would installing DevHook do to my PSP, would it upgrade it, would it give me any extra options for my PSP, can I play both CSO and ISO files on it, what DevHook version would be best for me to use and things like that. I would greatly appreciate it if someone helped me out here as soon as possible. I'll try looking through the pages of this thread and through the forum to see if I can find any answers but it would help a lot if someone answered them here simply and briefly. Thank you in advance.

Hi Guys and Gals, I've been away for a bit but i just got a load of new games. I normally use the devook 2.71 with HenC and it has worked fine. But these new games i have loaded on my stick require me to upgrade to 2.81? it emulates an upgrade but just crashes and gives me a code f numbers.
How do i get too play these new excellent games?

i have a 2.71 and i use devhook 0.4x
i have read it over some many times
and i know how to load a iso (at least i think i know X_x)
but my problem is that after i select the iso, 2.71 fw
and then select start
the psp will then load the menu like it is suppose to
but once i insert the umd it will freeze
any suggestions?
i should add the iso i made using UltraISO
and it is a ff8 PSX game...is that the root of my problem

a newer version of devhook, like .51 or something i think the latest can emulate 3. something.

Hogget don't post the same things 2 times. Go to my link so you can install the new Devhook.
Sr20slide you can not play PSX games in Devhook.(you need to update to 3.03 OE or 3.10 OE) and the PSX games need to be eboots not iso's

okay newby lil me has been playing around with some of the setting on devhook :D... and now it dont work, and just to prempt the malicous ones who will point and laugh and say 'hahaha, why should we help you out after being so stupid to mess around with them' my answer would be ' ive done many silly things when i was drunk'. Anyway would someone please help me out and tell me what the default setting for devhook version 0.46 should be. plz and thankyou

Hi I have devhook 5.2 perfectly installed in my psp.
How can I load a game from the umd disk.
The games is WE Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 and requires firmware 2.82
When I try to load it via umd select,umd disk a black screen appears and the psp turns off.
please help me

Kayfc how do you know devhook v52 is perfectly installed?
Can you play iso's with it?
If you can load a game and when your in the psp menu press the Home butten to get a menu and change from iso to UMD game.

sorry, I'm a n00b and have a question.
I have a .cso file for virtua tennis 3.
I just picked up a PSP yesterday and it have v2.71 on it.
I followed this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/454995
I followed it step by step for Guide for 2.71 TA-082:: Playing ISO Games In Memorystick, Via USB And Emulating 3.01 With Devhook 0.51 BETA For 2.71 HEND
I can get devhook to run and I go to UMD select and pick virtua tennis. I then hit start, and the PSP just reboots back to the home screen and I have the option for virtua tennis 3 but it says I have to have software version 3.03 or later.
I'm stuck and not sure where to go from here, any help is greatly appreciated.

nevermind to my question.
I'm not quite sure what I'm doing, but I think I may be on the right track. Thanks so several hours of searching, I downgraded my 2.71 to 1.50 and then upgraded it to 3.03 OE-C.

Hi all, I have been away from the psp scene for a while, as I have been playing with my PS3 a lot and lost my psp charger. I tried remote play just now and it says that I need to update my psp firmware. I am using devhook 0.51 emulating FW 3.01, and my PS3 FW is 1.6. Is there a more recent version of devhook that will allow me to emulate a higher FW?

when you installed device hook 0.51 if you flashed the files ,in the device hook menu you should go to the option FLASH INSTALL and use the "uninstall DH files from flash1" option before install the new device hook
if you are not sure do it just to be safe

start pbp unpacker,click open ,choose the 3.11 eboot file,then right click in the DATA.PSAR, click extract
