1st thing edit out your serial # - it's at the top of the log and begins w/ 1A. Don't need someone else using it.

Not the best so try to some better media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.
CdRomPeripheral : MATSHITA UJ-832D & Sense Key: 0x04 (KEY_HARDWARE_ERROR)
Not the greatest drive - just my experience but they don't hold up to well. But 1st try switching the media.

Roxio and Nero don't always play well so uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool

I am new at this. I just bought Nero 8 and I was wondering how can I burn or recode a protected dvd for ipod and zune. I'm not into doing anything illegal, everything is for my own personal use. When I bought Nero 8, the retailer said I can convert all most every movie and audio files. I understand there are softwares out there for that but I was told Nero does it all. I asked a friend who works at a PC store who informed me about dvd shrink. I haven't downloaded it yet because I'm reading on it first. So far I haven't read anything about protected dvds and most of you had problems with it. I've also read it doesn't work with Nero 6 so doesn't it work with the latest version? What all do I need for this program to actually work? I have virtual cd in my PC and Nero. Anything compatible or not? Please let me know. Oh, is dvd shrink simply for those protected dvds???? Thanks.
