well when there has been no new info the ps3, and nintendo rev, also there have been no really good games been released for xbox 360 so obviously it would be boring as nothing is going on, just wait for either tomorrow or e3.

quite a few new xbox360 games coming out next month only two weeks away. ps3 is being left behind. rev is never gonna be able to compete only in japan.

what? tomorrow?
the rev will compete, if they have the ability t download all the old games as well as maybe sega's old games, and with a price tag of say 250, it will be eaten up by old school gamers and even next gen owners. and the ps3 hasnt started to get left behind, there is still just as strong support for it. what i hate is obsurd rumours and very old roumours being put out or resurfaced. does the ps3 honestly look like its cost 900 dollars? these companies sell it far less to sony because of he in bulk and royalties than they would if it went to us. the amd 3700 cost like 75 but they sell it for 250. this merril lynch person went by the high retail side. they even went as far to say a 12 month delay. i poseted links befor showing that the cell is ready for production and is on its way, the rsx is complete and a working wafer, and the bluray drive is no question since there are already working players.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

I would have to disagree with you anubis as I do most of the time. lol
Reason why I disagree with you this time is on the retro side of things with Nintendo. I think 360 will compete very well with Nintendo on that front. There is Robotron, Street Fighter and Sega have said they are releasing some Sega games on Live Arcade like Sonic.

the rev is the kind of machine the japanese love, like the ds, against the psp it looks rubbish and dated, they are already restyling it to shrink it down from its bulky look. The rev controller is ok, but gametrak is bringing out games using similar technology for all systems, where they are releasing a gun, baseball bat, glof club, snooker cue etc, some work on two retractable cords the tell the system the height and direction you are holding it, so for a first person shooter you actually hold and point the gun where you want to shoot and use it walk and look around, unlike time crisis where you have to go where you are told. saw a peice about it on gamer.tv

Here is some more good stuff from the PC Authority on Xbox 360. I have a little bit more to post from the mag and then thats all the good information.
Quote: In August QuakeCon keynote speech, id software's John Carmack asked 'whether we might have been better off in this generation having an out-of-order main processor rather than splitting it all up in these multiprocessors... the first generation of titles coming out for both platforms [Xbox 360 and Playstation 3] will not be anywhere close to taking full advantage of this extra capability.'
Quote: From early play of pre-released titles, it appears Carmack is right. While some of the early 360 games are staggering, containing graphic effects in advance of anything we've seen on current PC hardware, others struggle to maintain stable frame rates or convey any real next-generation visual buzz.
Quote: However, the Xbox 360 gives PC users an additional reason to get excited. Where Microsoft made it abundantly clear that the Xbox was a games console, it has made more of the Xbox 360 a multimedia centre. Previous Media Centre Extender devices have left us waiting for content, or have provided a watered-down version of MCE. Not the Xbox 360. Streaming files across your home's wireless or wired network, the console replicates the full experiance, with no noticeable effects on performance.

nice bit of info there howjord, never knew that. Rev will have its key titles namely super smash, zelda, mario that will sway some but ultimatly I think its success come down to pricing, if its very cheap most people won't mind paying to get these titles, it does seem like the only advantage rev has over the other consoles is pricing which needs to be manipulated to get customers and of course those exclusive famous nintendo games.. Who played and loved ghouls and ghosts (ghosts and goblins)? Its one of my fav old time games and its coming for psp! a new updated version, new monsters and done in a more 3d style, see it at
http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?platform=1024&category=Platfor...
can't believe my 360 has been delayed till 23rd of march in auss. Interesting info 2 zelda

yea, the revolution can do all the old games, that is (i think) its greatest feature. hopefully the emulation is of high quality so the origional games can take advantage of the consoles superior power (compared to the older consoles the games were released on).
i can play turok 1, zelda's, goldeneye007, snes games, aww man thats awsome.
when it comes to nintendo, i am old school. there old games like zelda ocarina of time, ROCK!
Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......

yeah we all remember the old games, and the ones we love the most, and i think once word spreads that these kinds of games are all gonna be online play on the rev then people will also see the price and how different the controller is and want to buy it. i think.

LOL, but u are so wrong dude.
rabbity isnt a nintendo fanboy.
hes not biased towards any system really. he is just saying the good points about the revolution. just because he didnt say, 'like omg it sucks, ps3 pwns', or other loser fan boy comments doesnt mean he doesnt like the others.
Gosh new people into the topic. They read the last 3 posts and think they know what to say and think there king pin. load of crap. (not referring to you directly mudearies, but you are just one example) :-).

ya'll ever play kirby tilt n tumble for the gameboy? the rev controller features something like that. you learn it and turn it to go places aswell as using the dpad and buttons. the dpad can be for strafing and forward and back, and the tilt used for aiming. it will add a whole new way to play which i for one will like. but the controller is lame and remote-like. otherwise it will be nice.

Nice image's there Rabbity. I have seen them before but I think everyone here will agree that 2 Days Till Vagus looks absolutly awsome!
Also I thought that was funny suggesting Rabbity as a Nintendo fanboy. lol
Anyway here is the last bit of information on the 360 from PC Authority.
Quote: One key aspect of XNA Studio is that it embraces both the Xbox 360 and Windows. It encourages the cross-pollination of software between the two, giving developers a range of tools and a framework in which to use them, so they can make the most of advanced technology and concentrate on what matters most - the games.
Quote: In effest, XNA handles the plumbing, leaving developers with more time to spend on game mechanics and distinctive visual effects. XNA combines Windows and Xbox tools, and it's known that DirectX 10 is being developed hand-in-hand with the architecture. In theory, it will make it so easy to develop Xbox 360 games for Windows (and vice versa) that it's practically a no-brainer.

I suppose that's okay for game developers working with pc's.
I had always thought that developers liked working on consoles because there were a lot less restrictions and stuff.

Why people keep doing that,"360 VS PS3" when the PS3 not even out yet?
Sure we know little bit about the PS3 but its not final yet.

hmm, graphics vs gameplay.
e.g. a cake
graphics: is the look, smell, and feel of the cake.
gameplay: is the taste of the cake.
some nice images rabbity. but GOW is the most graphically stunning there, shortly followed by 2 days to vegas, but we cant judge gameplay yet, so more waiting is required, *boo*.
nice info yet again zelda.
o and no problem about defending you rabbity :-), the other dude was well out of order.
on overclockers.co.uk the X1900XT-X is very cheap compared to some other places, if you live in UK get one from there. some are as low as £399 (connect 3D one), other sites charge like £430 and above for the same model. xD.
i also saw a conect 3D X1800XT for JUST £230. thats like $450-500 i think. Thats a REAL SWEET DEAL!!!
any more PS3 cell info zelda?

i would just like to start off buy saying that about 15 mins ago i got mugged on the bus, they took my ipod and all my money, so i am pissed off, lol. but what pissed me off the most was that i was going to sell my ipod tomorrow and use that money for ghost recon 3 and battlefield 2.
anyways truthman, i think the gears of war pics are amazing but 2 days to vegas and lost plannet seem to have just a little better graphics. but we will see at this years e3.

Sorry to hear that Rabbity.
Sorry Truthman but I dont have any more information on PS3 or 360 from the magazine, I have used it all up.
I would have to disagree with both of you when it comes to the best looking game (in terms of graphics). I thought 2 Days till Vagus, then Gears of War, then Lost Planet. I definatly dont thing Lost planet is as good graphicaly as GOW.
