lxhotboy we all have our own opinion's. But like you I look into the past and news on what I believe will happen to the console's in the future. But unlike you I dont think the 360 will fail. I dont mean to boast but I have been doing this since the Megadrive came out and ever since I have always been right in knowing what console wins. I predict this fight will be more like the Super Nintendo and Megadrive fight. Both very similar in power (the Snes was slightly more) and when Megadrive came out all Nintendo fans where talking of a much better console being released that they where waiting for. So in the end Snes won after being released later but Megadrive was close behind.
I do agree with you that PS3 will sell more but 360 will be close behind, unlike thier previous console. I could give reasons why but I have done it in my past post's.

i think if sony release the ps3 in 2007 in europe it will fail there. who knows what will happen elsewhere, but microsoft have a good head start, if sony dont hurry up the games the say that will be out for ps3 are only a month away from coming out on the 360. The ps2 was released 18 months ahead of xbox. so i think it has done pretty well for a microsofts first ever console. Alot of people i know have ditched their ps2's in favour of the xbox. if it came out at the same time it may have been a different story.

yeah ps2 sold something like 12 million before xbox came out, and being a second console to come out, the first being the ps1, meant that it excelled in sales.
i predict that if ps3 does not release before 2007 in europe or america then xbox 360 will dominate those thoese contries and will continue to long after. as for japan even if the ps3 did not launch till 2008 they would still wait.

you are just naming the games with better graphics, you know nothing on he gameplay or story line.. you'll have to wait till its out to know for sur eit they will be great.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

true but i have have read a lot on the gameplay and story line to see if its gonna be a decent game or not by my standars, obviously if other people do not like them then that up to them, but what i can see and other people i have spoken to they seem to like whats coming.

i usually like sci fi-ish games like timespitters, half life and the unreal games. if they in any way relate to those, then i am sur ei will love them.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

i say the direct tv thing, and i already have a dvr with dish so i dont care. and omfg marble blast for the 360? that was a mac game wasnt it? i played marble blast gold all the way thru and it owned.

i can see at least 9 games that will be coming onto the xbox 360.
ok it also says that there will be an unrel engine 3.5 coming soon which will also be featuring on the xbox 360 and ps3, i doubt rev. they said that it uses shader model 5 which is meant to be great or something. but you will not see a finshed game with this engine untill 2009.
then they said that they have been making unreal engine 4 for 2.5 years now and it will be for the next gen after this one, i can not wait for that it will be so friken awesome.

I have a few more quote's to post from PC Authority, but from the information I have posted so far I belive the PS3 cell prosessor has the edge over the 360's when it comes to physic's, AI, etc. However the 360's Xenon will have the edge over the PS3's cell when it comes to graphics. As what I have quoted developers havent used harderly any of the 360's prossesing power and if the prossesor has a big roll in the generation of graphics along with the Xenos then what we have seen so far on the 360 is only the tip of the ice berg.

Well man, I might not be waiting for a ps3 after all. I knew Sony would be taking more of a loss for the ps3 units than microsoft for the xbox 360 but man this is just ridiculous. Yall check this out.

i knew the PS3 would be very expensive, and very late out. i really want to see a PS3 with my own eyes aswell, so as to make better judgements about it. darn it. cant they make the delays smaller somehow?

wait for it and dont believe what some overestimating person says. these companiest recieve discounts and advantages for choosing certain companies. the parts dont cost much. this meryl or w/e guess upon the price values of what you pay for a pc. an amd 3700 goes for 250, but it cost only 75 to make. this person guessed by the 250 mark, aka the retail value. if eiter companie were gunna overcharge sony i dont think sony would have picked them. after all, sont is buying in bulk, so discounts are a must.

Here is the last little bit of information I have on the Cell prossesor from PC Authority.
