Plus...the game is From Russia with Love and i think its Online, what should i do to overcome the problem of the DNAS bla bla thing.

In the future read the stickies at the top of the forum, they cover all this stuff.
1. Q. How do I burn PS2 games?
A. Use DVD Decrypter.
Guide: http://www.angelfire.com/games6/easytutorial/dvddec/dvddec.html Burn at 4x on a quality 8x DVD-R.
2. Q. Does the type of media I use matter?
A. YES: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/240341 If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Sony or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, Dynex, Princo, Bulqpaq, etc.
CMC Magnetics is garbage. Need proof (Thanks to Alkohol):
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/262544 If you really want to do the PS2 backup thing right, pick up some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim's. I only burn to TYG02, the 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's. So far I've never had a lag, skip, freeze, or boot failure since I switched to Taiyo Yuden's. With results like that, why would I use anything else? The brand of media you use means very little.
The key determinant of media quality is the Media ID. For info on the Media ID, check the bottom of this thread.
Try this link for all types of different info on media quality, compatibility, and console reliability: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia
3. Q. Do I need some type of mod to play PS2 backups or imports?
A. Yes you need a modchip: http://teammodders.com/ps2_mc.php?ex=2 Swap Magic: http://swapmagic3.com/ Memory Card Exploit (Doesn't work with v.11 PS2 and later): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/109289 HD Loader: http://www.hdloader.com.au/hardinstall#prepare or
HD Advance: http://www.hdadvance.com/hd_advance_how-to-use.htm
20. Q. What are DNA's?
A. Any game made after 2003 for the PS2 that is online playable contains one or more image files that has a "disk
DNA checker." The online game server checks your game disk to see if it's the real thing or not. Thus, you have to discover which .img file on the game disc has the checker file.
21. Q. How do I patch DNA's?
A. http://www.ps2nfo.com/on-line.html
22. Q. Where can I find DNA ID's?
A. NTSC-US: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/198137 Updated NTSC DNA's thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/291526 PAL: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/199101C

I have a question that's been plaqueing me for almost 2 weeks: OK, now i have some emulators for the ps2 (snes and genesis) now on my old ps2's i used to use the knife-swap method and gameshark 2.0 to read them, now i left town for awhile and gave the gamesharks discs to a friend and now i've bought a slim-line and when i got the discs back from him they were scratched like crazy and my ps2 wouldn't read (DRE) the ps2 shark and would only load the audio for the ps1 shark, so naturally i got them cleaned... nothing changed! so i need to know if older gamesharks won't work on the slim-lines or what... and if they do can i use a gameshark v2 LITE to do the swap trick? (i already know how to do the swap trick on a slim) because i can go pick up a LITE for $8 (same price i paid for 1st gs)

Booktype the DVD+R's.
53. Q. What is Booktyping?
A. Booktyping is the ability to burn a DVD+R so it that appears as a pressed DVD-ROM in any DVD-ROM drive it's inserted in. If you booktype DVD+R's, this allows for greater compatibility with most stand alone DVD players, including your PS2. Your burner has to support booktyping (most newer ones do).

Still did not work...I have a different type of DVD-RW drive than those listed in DVD Decrypter...not to mention I cannot select a book type in Nero...but when I'm in DVD Decrypter and it is ready to burn a dvd it does say in the top right corner that my burner is in DVD+R mode...I have updated my drive's firmware and downloaded a bit selector program to select DVD+R as my drive's default setting...I'm making ALOT of coasters here.... >:(

I have awnsered this question many times both here and on Blasteroids this is the best way it always works:
Important:
Read all Instructions before proceeding with anything
Now, you can buy swap magic online, I doubt you will find it in a store. Just go to google and search for it. You will find many results. Also try E-Bay.com.
Directions for using swap magic:
1. Place disc in ps2.
2. Use slide tool to pull out disc tray.
3. Place copied game in disc tray.
4. Lock the tray with the slide tool.
5. Press load on the menu.
If you don't understand some of this post a comment or E-mail me direct at DG089678@gmail.com
Copying Directions:
2. You should use DVD Decrypter , Just do a google search for it and you will get many results, you might have to look around for it but you will find it.
3. Download DVD Shrink by doing a google search.
4. Both are freeware by the way you won't have to pay for it.
5. Use DVD Shrink to analyize and read the disc. Use automatic shrink option (If you do it manually you will screw up the process).
6. After the file is saved open DVD Decrypter. Click on mode, ISO, Write.
7. Click on the folder or the hard drive on the main screen and select your file.
8. Insert your blank DVD
9. Click on the Hard Disc with the arrow pointing to the DVD.
10. All you have to do is wait and you're done.
11. I reccomend DVD-R Format the most for copying games. However, If the store doesn't carry it buy DVD+R format.
Good Luck!!
If you have any questions Post a comment or e-mail me directly at DG089678@Gmail.com

6. Q. Can I burn Swap Magic, Breaker Pro, HD loader, or HD advance?
A. No the only way to boot a backup of these is with a modchip, an original version, or a MC exploit.
The directions for burning PS2 DVD games with Alcohol 120% are posted already on this page. Scroll up and read a little.
What's the Media ID of the Fuji's? It should be YUDENTxxx.
91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
Last but not least you can use DVD Info Pro: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

So basically I cannot play a back-up on my ps2 unless I swap it with a boot disk or have a mod chip...is that correct?
