deanox,
WinRAR is just an archiving program, much like WinZip. You need it to extract the *Raw dump 2.0.rar file. If you were able to use raw dump 2.0 then you already had WinRAR, its a very common program. As for the broken link, try this one http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
the latest version is WinRAR3.71 located at the top of the page.

This is from page 1, right in the guide about iso sizes
Nintendo Wii ISO size: 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes).
Nintendo Gamecube ISO size: 1.35 GB (1,459,978,240 bytes)
All Nintendo Wii and Gamecube images will be this exact byte size. If your Wii image is off by any then you have a bad dump and need to try again.
if your iso is NOT exactly that size, then your burnt disc is not a very beautiful coaster

So 4,701,061,276 bytes is a bad dump? Is that the reason the disc could not be read?
I got my Wiikey around Super Mario Galaxy's launch, would it already be updated to 1.9g? The 1.9g update disc I got here doesn't work.
http://psx-scene.com/forums/wiikey/62935...-one-place.html
It was the Update v1.9g BETA - USA (The padded/filechopped version). this is the only one I tried besides the MOH2 file, which was a bad dump. The 1.9g file seems to have the exact amount of bytes you listed.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Also did I need to "patched it first with WiiBrickBlocker" or "Convert with regionfrii"? I don't know how to do that, I just saw people comment on what they did to another file

yes, it seems you have had a bad dump, now spray some air freshener and try it again.
as long as you are copying from the same region you should be fine, just try it again, and dont burn it untill your file is exactly that size. you can >right-click<>properties< to see the exact size

Ok, the torrents rarely have the exact same byte size as the one you listed. I have seen 2 out of like 20 that had the exact byte size. Will it not work if it is off by 1 byte? 100 bytes? 1000? etc

Wow, I didn't think 1 byte would make the disk unreadable. I find it odd that most of the torrents don't have the exact byte size. After it is torrented will it stay the same down to the last byte or will it change to the exact file size? Nearly every file does not have the right byte size.
I have been looking at the commments and the file size was off by like 2000 bytes and people are saying it burned fine.
Ex: "Downloaded just fine. Burned at 2x on Memorex DVD-R, and works on NTSC Wii with Wiikey."
I have a US Wii, it will work with NTSC right?
My Wii is 3.1 Do I need to use any update discs or anything to get these games to work?

I couldnt tell you, as I do NOT download Wii torents, only movie Torrents. But if the torrents are in multiple rar files, and i asume they are, then you have to look at the final extraction size, which you only see after you waste hours/day/weeks downloading it. My advice is to find a site such as but not limited to, and not necessarily : wiiisos.info , wii-modchips.com sites like these DO NOT HOST ISO files, but may or maynot however contain information on where you may or maynot look. If that is at all confusing for you then my job is done :P
most site you have to pay for a membership to download more then 4-5 files at a time. and most games gome in between 50-100 rar files. goodluck

quick question, if I buy the wiikey and install it correctly and it does not work. Does that completely destroys my Wii or can I unistall it easily? As you can see, I'm a soldering ignorant.

I ordered something on http://www.tsgsysonline.co.uk 2 weeks ago and called them few times to find out what was happening on my order was told by a lady that it was sent out day before i called, and spoke to a shayne 4 or 5 days later then he said we havent had any stock but will next week and hopefully you will receive one on wednesday.
I must say talking to 2 people and getting 2 different stories makes it a very confused and bad company, and the fact that the webpage hasn't been working for days and also one of my credit cards that may of been used is now blocked and apparently someone rang the CC up and changed the account number by closing it, not saying this company has anything to do with it, but few things seem a bit fishy to me.

I seem to find alot of websites that are selling the wiikey at different prices. They all claim to sell the real thing and advise to be carefull of fake wiikeys. Where did you guys bought your wiikeys?
Also, how can I make sure that it is the wiikey that I need and not the D2C something...

Hi,
I'm the same re: tsgsysonline, they are shipping the GDR-H30N
The website sort of say's that - but you only get part of the 'We are now shipping the New ... GDR-H30N drive...
They did ship my first order for two drives, but GDR-H30N came...
I was going to return them, but might just keep hold...
Still waiting re: my second order.... over 2 weeks for me...
Got a GDR-8082N on its way, with a slimline case - but it might not work... don't know the firmware...

like i said, they did ship the first set of drives...
So i'd give them the benefit of the doubt at the moment...
Just might take a few weeks to get hold of the kit...
