from what I heard, school mostly blocks torrent connection on their computers. Maybe they purposely limited the bandwidth so that other computers won't crash.

You should cap your upload at 94 KB/s. You should be getting at least 300 KB/s on public trackers and 700 K/s on private trackers, have you followed every step of my guide to the word?

i think my high upload speed has something to do with the fact that im on a university DSL network but i dunno, back home i had 3mb broadband and my upload speed was half of what it is here and i only have about a 1.4mb download speed most of the time.

try registering on bitsoup.org and see how your speeds are, also you can try getting an invite to a good private tracker such as torrent leech

ive heard bitsoup is monitored by MPAA, so i think thats a no go, but demonoid might be a better choice.

Okay thank you DVDBack for all your efforts. I tried all your bitcomet guides and I cant seem to get any of the downloads to get above 10 kbps. Frustrated after trying more and more different things still didnt work. Then I saw your guide for uTorrent, I am pleased to say its much better than Bitcomet and I can get about 60 kbps. Im still kind of annoyed though because I think I should be hitting at least 200 kbps because I have a 5 mbps (about 539 kbps) is there any other things I should be looking at to get it that high? I did everything in the guide by the way. Thanks ahead of time.

are you hitting 60 on private or public trackers, i used to think it didnt make that much of a difference untill my speeds jumped from 100-200 to 500-700

I would invite you if i had any invites but, i just joined up so i dont, your best bet is to get a program called "tracker checker" that notifies you when a certain site is open for registration (usually after somebody gets banned) which is often.
GooD Luck

Wow lol 500-700?! dude Id love to even get close to 500. I can reach around 200 now I did some tweaking but still not getting all the juice. Im using public trackers and Ive tried bitsoup but their site isnt as complete as others. My personal favorite is Torrentspy.. they are updating their site with newer stuff to. But if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to say :D

I used to like torrentspy but they put too much commercial in their site. Everytime I visit torrentspy, pop-ups are everywhere. jeezzz... Although that site is pretty decent. What about MiniNova?
