I have sucessfully exploited the very useful tut and now am at the point where the PSP reports 3.71 M33 as the system software.
I have since loaded the files to add the 1.50 kernel (i.e. the 150.pbp in route and the update 2 folder in GAME).
Problem: when I go to run the prog in GAME I get a corrupted data message. Any Ideas please/thanks anyone?

Just to qualify my previous post, I am refering to the 150Kernel Add on 2.
Do I have to change the current kernel from 3.71 back to 1.5 using the Recovery Menu to do this?

are u sure u rename it to 150.PBP??n try tht-change the kernel.

My interpretation error; appears works fine now that I have put the update into the UPDATE folder.

The root of mem stick is the lowest position. Just as "c:\" is the root of a harddrive.

Alright so I did everything that was said and I checked my psp info and it said I was using the latest one. 3.71M33-3
The problem is that now it wont play any of my games. Even the ones that used to play before when I was using 3.10 OEA.
I did go into the XMB and deleted everything that said 'corrupted data' and I also deleted the 150.pbp etc..because I thought they were just install files.
can anyone provide me some info on what needs to be on the PSP in order for this to work? I thought I just had to install it and I could delete everything afterwards.

No Luck, I formatted and even then when I try to run the game it says 'game could not be started' :(
I checked in the config and it is set to 3.71 kernel.
Any ideas?

press select button whilst on the xmb,go to umd iso mode and press the right directional button so it says m33 driver or simply try putting a umd in :)

I upgraded to 3.71 M33-3, but when I try to use the recovery menu when booting my PSP, I am unable to use the Configuration option, when I choose it, my PSP just restarts after a few seconds.

hi all im still on 3.40oe do i really need to update to 3.52m33 then 3.71m33 what firmware do the new games req as my girl wants the simpson game and ill say its at the highest firmware ? also if i upgrade to 3.71 m33 do i still load games the same way in2 iso thanks ,ady

u need to be on cfw lol.u are on the official.downgrade using pandora.ask in the pandora section.

thanks sickdude for the tut,
updating my psp has sorted out the, 'game could not be started 80020148'
just 1 question is it possible to remove the 3.52 m33 creator/update icons from the game/memory stick
