I used Nero 6 for several years and loved it, but then I started having a few problems and came to these forums for help (Which Worked-Thanks to all that helped)A few people suggested my burner was going bad-which is an old Sony dvd/cd external drive. Some suggestions were to change media and that helped for a while-lately it only worked if I got Sony dvd+r disk and burned fine. But when I ran out of those disks I ran and got more Sony disks. I also tried several trial versions of Nero 7 n 8 that I didn't care for but from reading I thought 9 reloaded would be just what I needed. I just bought a new external drive a Samsung slim drive and bought Nero 9 Reloaded burned a disk and thought this is gonna be sweet. Crap now my stand alone dvd player wont reconize the disks, and it usually plays everything. The kids laptops that have Windows Vista and Windows 7 won't reconize these Sony disks also.
I'm wondering if after all of this I should have stuck with Nero 6, but I still need to get another dvd drive/burner. I'm using Windows XP. I sure appreciate any suggestions with this problem.
