Why can't Steve send one of these FABLED creations to someone with a PAL 360, to try?!?! I would think if it worked in one, it should work in another.

i am gathering the parts of the sum piece by piece ever week but...
to make an exact copy of the disc is still unclear from a tekno point of view as...
1)no dvd+dl recorder was stated,
2)no philips dvd+dl disc was extactly stated,
Regards

That's probably just some rumor from Spong to increase traffic to their website. More traffic = more revenue.
It would be nice if it were true though. Time will tell.

okay first of we need to know -
1)dvd+dl recorder
2)philips dvd+dl disc
Solutions
1)i don't belive this matters becuse microsoft had allowed the download of updates of somthing (i cant remember; from my earlier post) and allows you to burn it a disc and work. (note: i dont know the format of the files , and the download is probably made to be burned without being tampered with) - if som1 can tell me why this matters then feel free to shut me up :)
2) when steddyman gets the cd from steve then he can tell us what cd it is.
all in all this "hypothesis" cant be disreagarded until its been tested in the same environment and with crappy results. so if i hear the word hoax again then you my friend need to st*u

Interesting point, where is Steddyman, his last post was 4 days ago. And the man who started it all, Steve, hasn't been heard from in over 4 days.

kinda strange no one has said anything on this.

If I found a way to run those games on the 360 I'd keep it top secret too lol. Only tell a few people so we can have a lil' gathering and hack the crap out of it, then release to the world and have MS scramble to their monitors HEHE evil grin.

remember guys its christmas and the royal mail are dam slow at christmas, im still waiting on my 360 vga cable, give steddyman time to receive the disc.
but yes this doesnt seem possible unless M$ made a mistake and the 360 doesnt do a media check on a xex file it is pointed to by another xex file.

Ok, a copy of the kiosk disc does work and it has been confirmed on x-scene by multiple users. Since this demo disc does work, it would lead me to believe that a copy of the OXM disc should work.
Nobody has reported any backups to work. Even if we can't get backups to work with these demo discs, we can atleast modify them for WMVHD video playback. I think swapping the WMVHD demo videos to a Hi-def movie should be pretty damn easy.
edit: (this is from a post on x-scene)

CONFIRMED I deleted the pgr3.wmv demo video and put my own WMV HD video in its place. It booted fine and played the video I added. In other words, you can replace a demo video with a WMV HD video and it'll play fine from disk!
In this example I used the coral reef adventure on MS's website. I'll test other vids in a few.
:)
