I dont know if its the same demo.
Also has anyone tried this? Has anyone tried to burn JUST the Kong or Full Auto demo to a disc?
Like, take the files out of the demo directory, and burn those to the route directory of a DVDR? Maybe this would tell us if the demo does the signature check or not?

My Disk has Full Auto on the cover of the disk and PGR3 on the cover of the mag, on the disk it has Full Auto and king kong only as 360 demos and not kameo. Something is different between our versions

Is it possible to mail the extra you made to Pur or myself? That would kill all the doubts.

Steve -
If you torrent up your demo disc as a working ISO, I can help seed it. I can upload at 250 KB/sec (it's not that much, but it's all I got). I'm guessing your demo disc is PAL only (?), so it probably won't work on NTSC XBOX's.

Steve,
Also, if it's not too much work, can you post screenshots of the directory structures of your OXM UK disc? If someone else here also has a OXM UK disc and access to the directory structure, please post it. I would like to compare it to the North America one. I was thinking that maybe your 360 tries to emulate fudged up .xbe file causing a major security flaw/bug, allowing you to run any .xex. That's the only thing I can think of that would allow you to do such a thing. The XBOX 360 emulation layer was rushed by Microsoft, so it is quite possible (in my opinion) that it contains holes.
I recommend imageshack.us for free image hosting.
edit: Nevermind, you explained the directory structure in another post.
edit2: hmmm... post the contents of that menu.ini file though :P

First i have to excuse my bad english.I am from Switzerland...
I have an PAL XBOX360,Double Layer Burner and can buy DL Discs, but I could not find this 'OXM Magazine' in Switzerland or in Germany.
If there is a place to download it, i will try to burn this on this weekend (i am not very often at home).

This is really odd Steve
The UK OXM disk that I have is only 4.12GB in size.
How did you copy the disk from your Xbox to your PC? I used DVD2XBOX on the Xbox to copy it to the HD then did an FTP from there (since it failed directly from the disk). This is a file by file copy.
I now have a DL drive so I can do some more testing. How did you create the image on the PC in Nero? Did you just drop all the files into a UDF disk and burn it or did you make an ISO first using xISO?

Steddyman, how are you determining the DVD size? If you are just sticking it in your Windows PC, it will most likely give you a false reading.

Yah steddyhow are you getting the size? I moved all the stuff from the US OXM demo disc from my xbox to my PC. Then on my PC I got properties on the whole directory, and it comes around 4.97Gb for me.

The size is determined by a right click after I have copied all the files over. Perhaps DVD2XBOX has missed something when it copied from the disk. I'll go put the disk in then compare directories from it.
Steddy
BTW I edited the post to say 4.12GB... for some reason the FTP has missed a couple of files.

ergh.. DVD2XBOX screws up sometimes in my experience. Can't you just boot up evox or XBOX Media Center and FTP directly to the DVD drive of the XBOX. I can't remember if you can do it this way or not. If this doesn't work, try the file browser in the latest build of XBOX Media Center.

Yes i think it is the Thompson drive. It even has problems reading Retail DL disks like Halo 2. When I buy a game I normally need to use DVD2XBOX to copy it to HD before I can play it. For some reason this doesn't seem to fail with any errors and the games always work.
I have updated the version of DVD2XBOX to the very latest build (0.7.1) and it reports the disk as 4222MB before I even copy it. I really don't think it is any bigger than that.
There is no way I can read these disks without first copying them to the HD. Both Avalaunch and XBMC report read errors during the FTP.
Steve, can you CD into the directory for the UK XBM disk on your PC and perform the following:
DIR /s >dirlist.txt
The past the full contents of dirlist.txt into the thread of attach the file. I will then compare that to what I have.

IMushroom. Nobody said they believed anything, but there is a difference between not believing and not knowing. When I have tried all this and it doesn't work, I will then know. Before that I would be guessing like you.
I have swapped the faulty DVD drive in my Xbox 1 which was a Philips drive for the Thompson in my Backup unit (you can never be to careful). This new drive is reading the disk perfectly, but DVD2XBXO still reports it as 4222MB the same as before.
I can now also get into XBMC and look at the disk and for some odd reason XBMC shows it as 6.7GB, but doesn't actually show any more files than I have already transferred. I have also looked at it via FTP and compared it to the dir on my computer and its identical. I think the bug lies with XBMC.
