happida69, the 3 folders are correct.
Under options did you go to setup and choose your path to CCE basic and your path for mpeg2dec3dgdll and check add to AVS file?
Also under options-AVS-did you check convert to yuy2O and audio dub? Then under CCE check CCE basic 2.67?
Under mode did you check CCE mode, verbose status window, and dynamically assign cell bitrates?
This is all just a basic checklist of what you must do to ensure RB/CCE is working properly.
Which version of CCE are you using?
Was your error message 0003 or 0004?
GO VOLS !

This is a good checklist from bigorange. If all is in order, I would then recommend trying Smartripper in backup mode to rip the files - and then to RB-CCE without editing.

Good morning doc, it must be really early where you're at. Long time, no see, how goes it?
Tried batch with 3 movies, other than a "minor dvd allocation error" on one movie, all went well and all burned. Didn't understand that message tho.

Yeah, up early here in PAC 10 country. I've been quite busy lately, and only get to drop in every now and then. 'Hope things will settle down soon. I see lots of new interest in RB-CCE, which is nice. Did yo get to try batch mode yet?

You must have not seen my edit. Any comment on the allocation error. It actually said burn would probably work, "minor" DVD allocation error, would you like to continue? Strange huh? It only had this message for one movie, the other two were fine.
When I burned tho, all 3 played without problems and looked fine.

If your edit was there, I didn't see it. I began my answer just seconds after the email arrived.
I am thinking the allocation error is the result of editing.

LOL, normally that would be a good guess because I always edit with remake(unless it's so small it isn't worth the effort), however because this was my 1st time using batch mode i wanted to take it a step at a time, and none were edited, all were entered with a full rip from decrypter.
I thought it strange the message said it was a minor error and would probably work, never seen anything like that before with an error message, have you?
BTW, that was a good straight simple mini-guide for batch mode, good job.

bigorange... ...Thanks for the complement on the Batch mini-guide. Glad it worked.
I've had a couple of [strange] things happen using RB wihtout edited files. I believe both of these DVD's went through Decrypter, and I wasn't able to repeat them the second time through. Your "allocation" error sounds very familiar. I believe I said "yes" and when finished, the final Video_ts folder was missing the initial IFO file ... and Nero wouldn't burn. I Decrypted a second time, and no problem. Over the long term I have had intermittant problems with Decrypter, and find myself using SmartRipper the majority of the time now.
This SmartRipper use may even change, though, since I recently read where files can be loaded into Remake directly from AnyDVD. I let my trial expire, so I haven't tried it yet. How about you?

Yes, I have anydvd and you can go straight into remake if you wish.
I use anydvd quite a bit with other apps, since I don't use RB/CCE except for larger files.

Bigorange, thanks for your response. Here's the set up info:
"Under options did you go to setup and choose your path to CCE basic and your path for mpeg2dec3dgdll and check add to AVS file?" YES
"Also under options-AVS-did you check convert to yuy2O and audio dub? Then under CCE check CCE basic 2.67? "
AUDIO DUB is not checked. Others are.
"Under mode did you check CCE mode, verbose status window, and dynamically assign cell bitrates?" YES
This is all just a basic checklist of what you must do to ensure RB/CCE is working properly.
"Which version of CCE are you using?" 2.69.01.04
"Was your error message 0003 or 0004?" I believe it was 0004.
Any ideas?? Thanks.

Soph, I seem to remember you saying something about a RB/batch guide, Doc isn't stealing your thunder is he? LOL
happida-I had the same problem with 2.69, I switched to CCE 2.67 and it has worked perfectly ever since. I am not the only one to do this. No one seems to know why it makes a difference, some don't believe it does, but I know with 2.69 I got errors 0003 and 0004. How did I guess your error no.? You didn't tell me.
Somewhere in one of these RB/CCE threads there is a URL for CCE 2.67, I would download it, I would keep 2.69 btw, and just put CCE 2.67 in a different folder. You will need your CCE purchase info to load it.
Then run RB/CCE 2.67 and see if your problem is cured. I bet it is!

Bigo
I have both CCE Basic 2.69 and CCE basic 2.67 both installed at the same time and both work fine. I use 2.69 with RB and 2.67 with DVD2DVD-R. All you do is make sure they're installed into a separate folder.

Bigorange, thanks for the response. I looked at this thread but I was linked to the webiste http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/download.html, wherein there is no link to the 2.67 Basic Version. Only 2.69. Is there any other link available?? Would I have to pay for this once again??
Thanks..

happida, no you do not have to pay for it again, just use your purchase info from 2.69. The URL is in one of these threads dealing with RB/CCE, i think 6402 found it for 2.67, run a search of his messages in RB/CCE and you will find it. Then just go to that link. Make sure you have your purchase info, it will not let you load it without it.
soph, yeah, i have both in 2 seperate folders also, that's what I told happida to do. I've got to run, I'll talk to ya later, have a good one.

@bappida69... ...See below on how to download from Cinema Craft
@Big-O... ...About the Batch mini-guide(FAQ #6). 'Giving credit where credit is due ... Sophocles was the first to get Batch to work (while you were vacationing). He then posted his method, which then worked for me. I added some detail to this so a first-timer would understand, Soph edited, and then I posted in the FAQ's a few days ago (along with a few other additions). I suspect that instructions on Batch mode will also get into vurbal's guide at some point.

I see. It's a two-step process. Once you click on CCE Basic 2.69, you get to sign in with your SN and last 8 digits of the Lic Key. Then it takes you to the page with the older versions!!!

Hi all,
Thanks for all the responses. I tried backing up a new movie over the weekend. The good news was that I did not face the Buffer Overflow Error. The DVD Rebuilder encoded completely and also rebuilt it. But here's the bad news. When I open the VIDEO_TS files, the sound is clear but the picture is all messed up. It has all different colors, but the sound is perfectly ok. I also burnt it to a RW to check on my DVD player as well. But the same problem as well.
Any suggestions?? Is it some setting that messed up. Here's my set up:
CCE Basic: 2.69.01.04
Avisynth 2.54
RB: 0.52
Thanks!!

An interesting problem and one that I?ve not experienced. Is there a reason you?re using RB .52? The latest version is .56. Open RB and check under options menu, AVS options, and make sure ?ConvertToYUY2()? is checked.

Just checked the options menu, AVS options, and make sure ?ConvertToYUY2()? is checked. It is checked. As far as 0.52 goes, that was the version when I had downloaded it. I couldn't get it work so far and by this time, the new release is also out!!
The whole encoding seems to be some kind of purple color. But sound is fine.

It sounds like your very close. Did you put the mpeg2dec3dg.dll in the same folder as rebuilder?
You might go to the avisynth folder and look in the plugins to see if the mpeg2dec3dg.dll is there.
It would be good to try CCE basic 2.67 or even update to the latest, I think 2.69.1.10.
Anyway it goes it would be good to synchronize the exact progams and settings to what others are using. That would make it easier to find the problem.

There have been a lot of changes since 0.52...
You are using DVD Decrypter to bring it down to hard disc, right? You also are pointing DVD-RB to the hard drive location and not the DVD? What you are describing is exactly what you'd see if you were trying to reencode a disc that is still encrypted.
