Have you actually uninstalled the dodgy driver? That's more likely to be the cause of all this.

Very good point Sammy. What is the app that removes the "old" drivers and allows a "fresh" install. I forgot but it might come from the ATi website or you can try DrivePro or something like that. good luck..

Just because you un-install it doesn't mean you got rid of it. lol. A good case in point is Roxio, you have to d/l a tool that removes the "rest" of the program then reboot and hope you got it all. Some progies have many tentacles and will be difficult to remove. good luck again... :)

And just before Halloween. I can see the many tentacled progies attacking New york City, maybe London. The people are running to seek shelter to escape the fearsome and many tentacled progies.

No gouging" ie lets have no more whining about sigs, lets leave it at that (ie that 1024x768 is what you should all be taking heed of). The thread may now continue.

I say not until the many tentacled progies have been banned forever!!:P

Try Driver Magician! I have version 3.26 and it does an incredible job! I think they just came out with V.3.32. Just Google it!

Plenty of good storage as long as you don't mind USB 2.0 transfer speeds. For my money I prefer external SATA transfers but a terabyte is nothing to scoff at.

Rob

I'm sorry to hear that things went south for you regarding your job. I hope that you are able to recover and find something soon. There used to be some free services that although not that great got you online and there are some $10 services that do ok.

Rob,
Sorry to hear you are going through a tough time. I know the feeling well! When my heart attack forced me out of work, my income went from $77k to almost nothing overnight! Hang in there Buddy! Things should get better after the election!

A couple of bucks won't hurt anyone! I'm game! Rob, I know that being off line is the least of your immediate needs, but surely we can all get together and give you at least that.

Setup a paypal account and send us all PM's.
