Which remote did you get?
Some of the premiere remotes are programmable.

It doesnt really have a brand. The problem is that some buttons have a double respones. Example: the button to change channels down, sometime moves them up. It is very annoying.
I wonder if one of the "learning remotes" would work.

DBox button -> settings -> misc settings.
Set repeat delay and generic delay both to 150.
Leave the menues via the home button.

Yeah, I had tried 250.
Tried 150 now but it didnt help much either.
What about the other items on that screen, what is the configuration you have?

Try 200 or 250.
The other settings have no affiliation to the remote.

Just two more questions:
-Where do I find the image in the box to back it up?
-To replace the image, where do I have to copy it to?
Thanks,

Use a irish cables.xml or do a fast scan via netid, default frequency and symbol rate.
The symbol rate is 06875 and not 68750.

Thanks, did it.
Flashed to Sportser but decided to stay with the original.
It works generally ok but sometimes is like if the signal had gone.
The only "major" issue is still the remote.
I've triend almost all the range between 150 and 250 but it still has funny response.
Should I go for a new one? Are those premier ok?
Would any of the programable remotes work?
Thanks,

Go in steps higher for the values until you get the best reponse from the remote.

Thanks mgb17. It looks like the issue was with the remote as I bought a oneforall from Argos and it sorted out the problem perfectly well.
Off topic, would you know if it is possible to watch tv in the computer via the dbox without a tvcard?
(I know, to many questions :)

Tnx Benifa. Do you have a list that includes the symbol_rate="6875000" as used by Chorus in Ireland.

Thanks for this. It's a bit out of date (at least for the case of Waterford), as transponders are found at 291000000 only (13). It may be correct for Galway though - can anyone confirm?..
CableUK Sym6887 still finds all 13 transponders and 184 channels (inc data). This setting is recommended for NTL (true cable) in Ireland..

The entries point at the default frequencies for a network search.
Do you get 291.000 as dvb default frequency from the engineer menue of your subbed box for Waterford?

HI all,
We bought 4 Sagem DBox2's off ebay last week. I have configured them, uploading the bouquets and services xml files, and three of them work fine. The fourth however has difficulty picking up channels, intermittently picking all up, or none at all, and sometimes there is a green striping down some of the channels, while at other times channels stutter and skip. The base of the DBox has staining consistent with heavy use, and I'm just wondering if it is faulty or old, and needs to be returned to the seller?
Your comments would be appreciated
Thanks

I can see some "S*Y DISHES" but do not notice any MMDS aerials. Maybe nobody has Chorus Digital. They could prefer s*y if they want digital TV.
