Id like to help you out but you have no disks that sucks = (

You will need all 6 .rar files and will extract to 1 .iso (use WinRAR or IZArc
http://www.mrbass.org/freeware/izarc/IZArc_Setup36.exe
and burn .iso to DVD

Second disc is single .iso file. Just burn image to DVD.

Sony recovery CDs are not public domain software and piracy isn't tolerated here. Let's not have any more links to them.

It's only useful if you OWN the system. It's a far, far cry from piracy imho. There's no crack or anything.

Those discs do not come with a distribution license. Until that changes, linking to downloads for them that aren't sanctioned by Sony, and probably MS, falls under our anti-piracy rules.

I' not sure if i'm replying to the right message here but i have the giga-pocket that i took out of a sony vaio. Not sure of the correct number on the card cause its in my pc right now but its the one that ends with 26. And i have it working perfectly in windows vista ultimate. I downloaded some drivers from someone on this thread drivers and the software and i first installed on a xp machine worked fine. SO i used some files also from someone on here i think he said they were from media center 05 library i think called (SMRT) and vista didn't really approve of them but gave me the choice of installing them anyhow. So vista media center finds the tv signal scans for channels and works fine with it. Everything works and i'm using ultimate with the time stopper crack. Anyhow i saw a few people in here trying to find vista drivers so if you don't see the smrt download in this thread this message me. later

For anyone who still needs recovery CDs, this is from agak:

Use part search for A-1108-077-A
These recovery discs cover a series of computers. The information on your motherboard tells the recovery software what your original programs were on the computer so it can install them as purchased.

Agak thanks so much for your links! Got my install disks and my PC is like new again (the good part is that I have MCE, the bad part is that I had to uninstall all of Sony's extra crap lol)

Hi, I am running Windows Vista 32 bit on my VGC-RA828G Sony VAIO. I am having trouble finding the driver for my TV Tuner card that came with the machine, ever since the o/s migration windows media center says there is no tv tuner hardware found.

Hey gfxbss this is what worked for me i got if off this thread
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2G0G8IRQ
i guess they are from mce2005 and they did work in vista mce. but now vista mce won't find the tuner but i'm pretty sure its something i did installing some other crap. I think i narrowed it down to a dvr program. But it did work perfectly so i'm gonna do a clean vista ultimate install and redo the drivers see if they work again. But its a temp fix untill or unless sony makes vista drivers for this card. good luck.

"ok - just did clean hard drive dump/replacement and upgraded to WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE. Everything works but Sony's MPEG Encoder...
It's recognized in the device manager (i tried to rip multiple drivers from sony - none work) but i can't get Windows Media Center to recognize the Tuner card and can't set up the TV. I tried to take Giga pocket off the original recovery discs but since that was XP it won't work. Called sony - they said wait 25-50 years and we'll get an updated driver out. Anyone have any solutions? Here's the specs:

MODEL - SONY VAIO PCV-RZ34G
RUNNING ON VISTA ULTIMATE
PENTIUM 4 - 2.8GHZ
1.5 GIGS RAM
32 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM
RUNNING 2 SIDE BY SIDE 160 GIG HARD DRIVES"

AGAK - Ok I tried the TV Tuner Library update - and loaded in the driver. After I plug the driver in windows cuts out and goes to safe mode. I then reboot and run Windows Media Center to try and set-up the TV - but back to safe mode I go....After I disable the driver everything goes back to normal but no TV. Probably easier to just dump the crappy sony card and go to another brand....

Anyone have a gauranteed to work with Vista Ultimate and Windows Media Center TV tuner card recommendation? Also - I cannot use PCI-e - only AGP/PCI.

___________________________________________________________________

I still haven't heard if anyone has a perfectly working TV Tnuer card??? I downloaded Nero and I can see the channels for a split second but then it freezes. I still can't figure out how to get the MPEG working with Vista - has anyone figured this out - someone had to by now..............

I have a PCV-RX600N. The hard drive failed and I'm trying to get the ENX-15 running properly on XP Pro. I have downloaded the files for this and the TV tuner worked for a few minutes. The video froze then would not work again, even on a reboot. Now when I bring up the Giga Pocket 4.3 I get a green and pink checkerboard screen. Sony doesn't make the recovery discs for this model anymore but they said they would re-image the machine for $99. Why would the Giga Pocket recorder have a green and pink video? It's supposed to have the nVidia GeForce2ti but the dvice manager says GeForce2 DDR. I got the video drivers from the Sony site.

Thanks agak,

I'll try that. The video card is an ASUS V7700ti/D/64SG and it is the original adapter for this model. I'll search for that on the nVidia site and keep you posted. I really appreciate your response!!

Update...

I found driver version 71.89 and no difference in displaying the TV. I can hear the sound from the TV but the video is still green and pink checkerboard.I'm having a little trouble locating drivers for this video card. I'm not sure that is the latest version. I'm beginning to think this card is dead. None of the capture inputs work on it. Am I missing something here? Here's a link to my screen shot.

Hello everybody

I'am still with my no-sound problem.....(my previous posts)
After some weeks I am by my father with a sound cable. I plugged it and nothing happens (cable is connected to AUX on the sound card, and AUX is activated).
I noticed and checked with ohm-meter that the gounds on the ENX-25 do not correspond to the ones on my cable, so I swapped them but still nothing.

Do someone have a schema (or a photograph) of a working cable ?
Many thanks

Christophe
