well there are 2 very easy ways to tell if it is a dvd or a cd game, on the front it will say dvd-rom or cd-rom, on the back if it is blue it is a cd if it is silver then it is a dvd. it will also tell you when you look at the drive icon on your computer

Good luck all, I am official out. At one time I thought I was being helpful, now I cant say the same. This is not worth the potential trouble in the wake of current events.
Problems, Josh, Ofnir.....good luck!

most ps2 games are DVDs, chances are you are just trying to burn cd games. again look on the front of the game disc on the left hand side and it will say dvd if it is a dvd game, it also says on the side of the jewel case for the game, just look
if dvd decrypter is telling you that the blank dvd doesnt have enough space then get some dual layer dvds, but make sure your burner supports dual layer dvd burning or you will be wasting alot of money.
EDIT:
If the game is a cdgame then use NERO, i have used ROXIO, it is the cd burning software that came with my computer and it work flawlessly for me but NERO is a much better program
what game are you trying to burn, the more info you give the more likely someone can help you, being vague will give you vague answers

you can buy dvd games anywere games are sold, just look at the box on the side at the bottom and it will say dvd, and if you only own old games then chances are they might be cd games. most newer games are dvds due to the amount of info on the disc
i own over 100 games and i think only a handful if that are cds
sorry dont know anything about cricket 02, never heard of it
but use nero for cds and dvd decrypter for dvds and if it is over 4.7g then you need a dual layer dvd, or you need to rebuild it but i am not the person for that info(to much work for me to deal with)
good luck it is easy

Jerry, if you follow all of the steps on the first page, you should be fine.
Do note that talking about downloading games is against forum rules :)

.....no americans have heard of this game because its PAL not NTSC, PAL is for most of the world and NTSC is for US, and most of mexico, and to answer zanderm12's question, cricket 2002 is indeed a CD-ROM game, if You want more CD-Rom ps2 titles got here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_2_CD-ROM_games

Just becuase the games is PAL doesnt mean americans wont have heard of it.
Most games are made in both PAL and NTSC.
I live in the UK but the majority of my games are NTSC

Hello All,
Just started backing up my games and came into a problem.
I'm using dvd decrypter 3.5.4.0
My ps2slim has the dmspro modchip
Burning to Sony DVD-R medium
Was able to backup the title "Cars" with no problems.
Moved on to "Over the Hedge" with no luck, tried twice on two different computers. Do some disks need a different program?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Althoguh i dont know much about ISO's etc that might be your problem,
Are they the only two files you get when you extract the ISO?
How are you extracting the ISO
When i extract a random ISO i get multiple files;
DATA.PAK
DISK.MAP
SLES_533.14
SYSTEM (speed dial file)
I also get 3 folders
DATA
IRX
LICENSE
With files inside all of them.
Maybe the fact your ISO only has 2 files in is the problem.
