Actually, its my first.
The other posts i read about (sw:battlefront)
said it would make only two files.
which is better apache or iml to iso.?
Do they both serve the same purpose, or are they different.
My Godofwar backup is working now, but true no second layer?.
Even when i put the original in my pc it Didnt
detect the second layer?
Both the original and the backup come up the same 3.6gb and were mirror images.

I followed what Jizmak did with the combining of 000+001, and then 002+003. Then putting the two combined parts together after words...works like a charm.

For people using the Nero method I use, Turn multisession off, and always create a udf/iso project. Udf/iso will work with any size file, so people having problems with it not working over 2 gigs must have an old version of Nero or screwy settings. I use the latest version of Nero.

i tried to burn metal gear solid 3 and nfl street 2 but both games gave me problem they said that the file was to big to fit in wat shold i do

hey....can someone plz help me with my metal gear solid 2 substance PAL version backup.....i did everything jizmak said....but i ended up with 3 star files....i duuno which ones to merge together and i also heard that iso buster doesnt read the 2nd layer....even off an iso image....so can someone PLEASE help me with some detailed info on how to back it up and which programs needed..thanks...any help would be appericiated

I got mine to work using the same method that I used the very fist time... for some odd reason it decided to work this way. I just added .000 + .001 + .002 + .003 and created GOW.iso worked fine. I have NO idea why it didn't the first time. I'm about 5 hours into the game with no problems yet.
POODUDE: You are uncorrect about your Nero theory. I ALWAYS have a close to update version of Nero. I think I'm using 6.3.3 right now. Which is new enough... I don't know why it won't work... I know that there is some limitation on file size using a certian format... weather its file system or what I'm not sure. I though Fat32 had a 2 gig file limit. (shrug)
Don't know why it won't work... but we don't need it anyway.
If you just follow Jizmak's instructions EXACTLY (except for the part with the files all STAR.000, STAR.001, STAR.002, STAR.003 need to be added together) then your backup should/will work fine.
YES YOU MUST HAVE A MODDED PS2 TO PLAY ANY BACK UP!!! Never ever ever ever ever will a PS2 play anything but an orig US game if it's not modded. Ever.

i got mine to work, but when i get to the titan, the game freezes...does yours freeze at the titan as well or not...if not then how exactly did you burn the game...thanks

everyone's freezes, no one has figured out how to burn both layers, only the first one.
i think its another gt4 case right now.
no seccussful burns as of yet.

i read in the champions of norrath that, it could be done with 2 disks, so say if you use apache2, in the 8.3 gig file, you get layer0, an layer1, so i imagine if you extract the other layer an put that pak2 file an make it into an iso of its own, then when the game freezes an cannot read because it cant find the pak2, then just use swap disk method to put second disk in, an it may work, i havent tested this theory as of yet, but i will do tonight, an keep you all posted, thanks for reading, any ideas on this would be greatful,
