Ok, this thread is long! But, of course I have to ask something. I have searched thru this forum (maybe I didn't ask the right question or put it right in my search) but either I missed it or something. What do you do with the patches for games?
I am using swap disc 2.0, my ps2 is v7 and my other (that's right I have 2) is v9. And I use DVD Decrypter to burn.
I am trying to make a copy of Ratchet & clank: Up Your Arsenal, and my 1st try just got a blank screen after hitting the "x" button after doing the swapping. I found a patch on http://swapmagicfix.com/ but what do I do with it?

Please pardon me but both my Nero 6 Ultra Edition 6.6.0.13 & Nero Digital 3.1.0.7 are up to dated and when I click on DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) - it won't drag or accept any file that's over 2gig period. I didn't see any special settings for anything that's over 2gigs; nothing special in Multisession, ISO, UDF, BURN, INFO etc. Matter of fact, I even check NO MULTISESSION - still it won't drag any over 2gigs. Unless I'm missing something on the invisible settings. However, when I choose the UDF alone, it will accept it, but when completed burning with only UDF - it's useless.
I've tried to rebuild GT4 using "MinnWild" at modchipzone's method using Nero Burning Rom and it failed to do so. Thus I aborted the above process. With that being said; if you know of anything please let me know cause I'm trying to do something on GT4 right now and Nero seems useless to me.

I saw that already, but I don't have Alcohol 120%. Is there a way with cd creater, or DVD Decrypter (of which I do have)? I was told I can do it with decrypter, but no one showed me how.

wut up guys...u guys try so hard on copying ps2 games...juss try hard on finding softwares..dvd dvd decrypter shyt dont work that good...also u need to remember alot of steps. theres this software all u need to do is insert your game and it copies it itself....

ok just out of curiosity what exactaly do these programslike alcohol do exactly. do they decode the iso file? if not then why waste time with that and just use good ol windows xp. (if you have it) if those programs just put the files onto the cd why not just right click on the file, highlight send to, and clikc your dvd burner?

i never knew of a way to get it to work w/ DVD Decrypter, try searching other fourms about game fixes or somethin like that maybe someone has a way to do it

I am kinda getting that notion that I might have to do that and more. I notice you use swap magic 3.6, and so do others who don't ahve problems. I'm still on v2.0. As for burn software, I'll use Nero if I can get it to my other 'puter. I need to find my code to activate it again (other 'puter went kaput)

alkohol, I use all the standard settings in Nero when buring a udf/iso dvd and it accepts it up to 4.47 gig (full dvd). I always have multisession turned off when I burn the games. You might want to try reinstalling and see if that helps. Otherwise I know you can manually change how big the file can be. This is done under the general tab in preferences. I have been using Nero 6 ultra edition. BTW don't bother trying to copy GT4 becuase you can't make a copy unless to can burn a dual layer disc and you patch the game. If you use swap magic discs, you can't play GT4 either.

if your screen freezes attempt it on a different brand of dvd's..i got this error too it froze on me and i burned it on a "staple's brand" and now it works perfect thanks!!!
Ask me i can answer to mostly anything...

hursty, you and alkohol must be the only people having this problem. Get a newer version of Nero, or if you can't get it to work use another burning software. It doesn't really matter what you use as long as you burn the files in the proper order and as a udf/iso. geesh

Hursty is right. Check the fixes on this version of Nero. They have changed it so you cannot. In fact I will post it here.
"Adding files bigger than 2GB to ISO/UDF compilation is not possible anymore. In this case Nero Express 6 allows the user to switch to UDF"

ck20fo7 was talking about using software to back up ps2 games to use on a modded PS2. Just saying as so no one gets confused and wastes their time (he could've mentioned that, but that's cool, he probably didn't realize what was being mentioned).

I strongly deem that my "Nero Ultra 6.6.0.13" is up-to-date, matter of fact, it's the latest version -- and according to my understanding and knowledge Nero won't let you drag over any 2 or more gig files. Like I said; if I used the DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) - then it won't let me drag over any file that's bigger than 2Gig period. However, if I choosed the UDF, then it will accept it, but it won't do any good using this alone. Isn't it ironic that you're able to do and some of us can't???
I'm more than 100% agree with "hursty" on this one period.
NOTE: GT4 has been cracked into a DVD5 with 88% and another one with 100% successfully in the GT4 sticky issue thread already. And YES.... it can be boot with SWAP MAGIC 3.6 PLUS -- that's what I'm using.

open up Nero,and go to create an new file
then get yourself a FULL iso,just the iso image,dont break it down,just leave it as it is,make sure its over 2 gb's in size
then drag it over to Nero to say hi,see what message you get then
you cannot add a SINGLE folder over 2 gb's in nero's iso/udf option

So Does this method work with GT4 ??? I need to backup this HK Silver Pressed Version of it (which I was told was origianl when buying it off the net!!!!!!) to DVD5 size As I do not have a DVD9 Burner and my PS2 Laser doesnt like the crappy HK Silver discs...

hi,
im trying to copy fifa street (pal) and i have swap magic 3.6,
and i have DVD Decrypter, Nero 6, iso buster.
i tried to copy it using DVD Decrypter and i did not work, i have read it neds to be rebuilt and i dont know how o do that
CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME?????
