I have a different problem. After adding files .000 .001 .002 .003 together (3.96 GB). I made an iso (GOW.ISO), but it's only 5.49 KB!!!! I don't know about you, but when I add 4 files together, it should be bigger that a damn floppy disk!!!! Someone please help me! Oh by the way, I used the command: COPY GOW.000 + GOW.001 + GOW.002 + GOW.003 GOW.ISO

There seem to be some extreem newbies in this thread. The Nero method works perfectly; people who aren't getting it to work must not know how to use Nero or possibly a computer. If you select an ISO dvd in Nero it will NOT WORK! and will only let you burn up to 2 gigs anyway. You have to use UDF/ISO!!! You can really use any burning program you want, I just picked Nero becuase it's easy. One person in here can't figure out how to make a text file. Well I just suggest you go and buy your games from a store. BAHH!!!! someone post a link to apache2.
yeah, I know you're retarded.

Does it take 10 minutes after adding the files together? I added the 4 files (3.96 mb) together and created an iso, but it's only 5.49kb.

What game is it? I think some games from Squaresoft are protected so people can't rip files from them or something. So far I've found two games that are like what you said delvo. They're around 4gb if you rip with dvd decepter or something but if you try to rebuild it, it's only around a few kilobytes.

oops...my bad! I forgot the copy/b command when adding the files together. ok, I now have a 3.96gb size file. NOW, my only problem is, after I burned the iso, it doesn't get past the Sony Entertainment of America screen. I have used both Swap magic 2.0 & Swap Magic 3.0. Oh, by the way, the game is God Of War. Is there a patch for the "rebuilt iso"?

Just thought i'd say thanks very much to Poodude for this simple tutorial. I usually burn my games using Alcohol 120%, but after coastering backups of The Rumble Fish countless times, i tried this method and it works perfectly (interesting side, the iso is 4.37GB, and the final burn on Nero a tiny 437MB!)
For those of you who cannot get this method to work, here are several suggestions that are repeated throughout this forum:
1) Media - use good quality DVD's. I use Sony AccuCORE 8speed DVD-R at the moment, though I haven't had many problems with Bulkpak 4speed
2) Patches/Cracks - unless you're trying to burn an obscure game (like me), there will be posts/discussions for games that aren't simply rip'n'burn e.g. FIFA Street, GT4, God of War. If there isn't a topic about your game, then check the lists of working/unworking backups on this forum, and make sure you have the crack/patch/confirmation before proceeding
3) Playing method - SwapMagic won't play all games, though later versions offer greater compatibility. Either browse through forums or sacrifice a DVD
4) Burning - personally i use Alcohol 120% all the way through to rip then burn the .mdf/.mds files, though occasionally the game needs to be fiddled with. As a precaution, Poodude's way would seem to iron out 99.9% of problems if followed correctly, unless a patch/crack is needed or there is a compatibility problem (GT4, GoW)

everyone's freezes, no one has figured out how to burn both layers, only the first one.
i think its another gt4 case right now.
NO successful burns as of yet."

one the left side of the screen once you have selected UDF/ISO, there should be a little picture of a disc called 'new', simply right click on it and click 'rename'
Acroneous -
i backedup my copy of MGS3:SE (pal) using Alcohol 120%, simply ripped and burnt it no modifications needed, plays fine on SwapMagic 2.0, try Alcohol 120% or different media
daemon22 -
Yes you can, as default when you rip it becomes an .mdf and .mds, similar to the .bin/.cue idea, though specially for the Alcohol 120% program.
oni123 -
though i didn't need to create them, I assume when you have used isobuster to get the pieces of the game, you look for any files called DUMMY, GARBAGE etc, and replace them by simply creating a text file of the same name, with only one space as the text file
Hope my ramblings are of some use...

To Poo Dude or anyone else who can help.
I've read this and I think you've mentioned three programs: DVD Decrypter, Iso Buster and maybe Pss Plex. I have DVD Decrypter but where do I get Iso Buster and Pss Plex. Please Help because I am a newbie.

I used this method for awhile now, with dvd dcrypter and Nero, and its worked great on every game... Then I tried to patch the DNAS on Atv Vs. Mx Unleashed and it refuses to work. I can copy the game without patching the DNAS if I use Record Now to burn the dycrpted ISO, but when I extract the ISO and patch it, then use Nero the burn never plays. It also wont work when I patch the DNAS on Tony Hawk Underground 2 using the same method. I successfully patched the DSNA and burned it with Nero on Burnout 3 though and the copy plays flawlessly.

Most PS2's seem to not be able to read them.
