yeah, sorry I just meant usb. just external hard drives through the usb. i was just referring to the thing about what file system it uses.. i don't think that really is a big deal with it. but people are considering seeing if they can get .xex (the 360 executable file) files onto usb devices and run them from there, and if they can, it will be useful in the future for homebrew. if I had one I'd be trying all sorts of things right now but I think I'm going to wait a while to buy one.

Sorry! just getting sick and tired of people repeating the same Fu#$%ing questions over & over. Making 1 sentence questions & titles that hardly make sense with multiple spelling errors.
Where else have you heard that question..? I hate it when I run into threads that are improperly labeled. This thread told me exactly what I expect to see straight from the title. Don't blame your ignorance on an issue that has no relevance to this thread.
There has already been progress with the 360 as far as holes in the OS. It is already possible to run apps on the 360 without any modding whatsoever.

tell us how, that might be a very big key into copying games, and if not, we still need to know. i don't own a 360 yet. i don't plan on it for a while. i will wait untill there is a mod for it and there are lots of games and the bugs are worked out and the price drops, however. i have "amped 3" sitting in front of me and it would be great if there were a way to copy it. i don't think anyone in all of afterdawn knows how to copy or mod the 360. i wish they did, but they don't. these threads are almost all worthless chit chat! so anything helpful that someone says they know how to do, well tell us how to do it

Where do you think? if 90% of the people that start new threads would just read the old threads that ask the same question, this would be a much better forum. Read back a little and I'm sure you'll find it.

Yah if you can get past the jigsaw puzzle sentence with it's missing or misplaced words. Quote: Don't blame your ignorance on an issue that has no relevance to this thread.
Oh Please!! Gimmee a Break!! You think that just because you can follow some directions from some vastly smarter individuals than yourself on modding an xbox that you can open up your new xbox360 and reverse engineer it into submission. I would also be willing to bet that I know far more than you ever will about modifying an xbox.

That's wonderful!! don't keep your secret to yourself because that's the 1st I've heard of it. What Apps? are you talking about things MS intended for the console to do? I hate when teenagers start making things up to make themselves appear more intelligent.

here is a good question for you guys: since there is supposto be a recall, (which i still don't know if it is real) for a bad glitch. this glitch, is it just a glitch or later down the road when modding xbox360 suddenly the glitch is good and nessassary? sometimes something bad with a system is a backdoor to hacking it, get it? i don't know ,proably a stupid question, never mind if it is toooo stupid for you pros

Just thought I'd point out something that is really pissing me off:
Bohefus: you seem adamant on criticizing spelling errors.
Here's your first post:
"Your a Moron"
Do you see something wrong with it? Because I do. It's "You're", not "Your". Learn the difference. Hypocrite.
Nobody's perfect, and grammer isn't really a good argument for insulting anyone (Especially on an internet forum.) Give the guy a break.

Children, children, children.... every disc out there, at it's most basic is just 0's and 1's. There is NOTHING else. Digital means 0's and 1's. So to encrypt a game you either use a new file system or some type of encryption, or you use A PHYSICALLY INCOMPATIBLE DISC. The gamecube uses a physically incompatible disc. The Xbox 360 is using standard dual layer DVD 9's. Now that there are plenty of dual layer burners out there and dual layer blanks, it is only a matter of time before someone figures out how to exactly copy those 1's and 0's to the blank disc.

Hi Guys
I've managed to get a game working this way.
Bought the Offical XBOX mag today with the 360 demo disk, put the demo disk into my xbox1. I FTP to my xbox and copied the contents of the disk to my PC. I then downloaded the Condemned iso dump as a torrent. Extracted this file, deleted the contents of the king kong folder and put the codemned files in there instead. I then burnt the whole contents to a UDF dvd format using Nero 7. Popped the disk into my 360 it booted up, I then clicked on the king kong games and up came the full version of Condemned.
I'm goner download some more and try with others.

A bit more info for you
The demo disk is multi format it can be booted on both 360 and xbox 1. In fact its like if they have used an old xbox demo disk as a template, it has demos of Serious Sam 2 and Total Overdose for the xbox 1, which I would have thought have been put on a magazine ages ago, so I doubt they meant for it to be multi format and theres no meantion of it in the mag at all.
This is how it can be ftp'ed, and the 360 has no problems booting once burnt to disk (Dual Layer)
The files have both .xbe defaults for 360 and xbox 1, I sure someone can make a tool to change the menu's ini files and then we can make our own custom menus.
Give it a go if you can find the mag, it has PGR3 on the front.

i hate to flame, but wtf is that crap you posted?
its all lies. 360 uses a different file format to xbox 1 (how do you think it knows to run the dvd video instead of the demo section?). secondly, 360 doesnt run .xbe, it emulates it. only certain ones. Microsoft arent gonna waste time emulating some demo discs, just cos some guy bought the magazine. if you buy the magazine, assume you have the console (in this case xbox 1).
also, those demos are pretty knew. the games havnt been out long, and demos are usually a few weeks in front, or a few weeks behind.
this whole thread could probably be condensed into one page, if there wasnt so much flaming, and if people actually posted stuff that was even slightly true.

I love it when people bitch, why would I lie, I have better things to do than post crap here. I found an hole that we can all use and thought I'd share it with everyone. When people complain like this its no wonder other poeple dont share things.
Like I said the disk is multi-format it has default.xbe's for xbox 1 and 360.
Before stating Im a lier again - try it !!!

steve ... do you have an NTSC or PAL xbox360?
also have you tried any more games this method? Could you also possibly get some vid of you booting it up or something?
your method seems to make sense, I Just don't understand how the 360 can boot up a copied game/demo.

I have a PAL box which was bought on the 2nd of Dec (lucky on launch)
I'm trying to get the NFSMW ISO dump to try next, but downloads are slow.
If I get sometime tonight I'll vid myself booting from the DVDR just to prove its true.
