Well my friend has some DL discs so tonight I can try on a DL disc and either confirm or deny this once and for all :)
Also steve, to get Condemned on the disc, did you just use the tool to extract the .360 image file, and then remove ALL of the king kong demo stuff, and then put all of those extracted files into the king kong folder?
I just wanna know exactly what you did, because I won't have many DL discs to mess around with.

chedabob I can find better ways to get attention believe me
In fact I wish I never even posted, but I must carry on as I hate to be called a lier !!!
Yes I used the PI tool to extract and then only replaced the files in the king kong folder. Then burnt it as is.
I havent tried any others as they are hard and slow to get hold of
EDIT
Best of luck PUR and I hope I havent made you make a DL coaster, fingers crossed.
EDIT
If yours dosent work and I really, really hope it does so that we can all move on, is there anyone who can try this on a PAL machine, to make sure the enviroment is the same as mine ?

stfu and nobody cares what you think. Go back to the x-scene forums and create a thread discussing how Steve's method can't and won't work. You keep making these comments... yes we know you don't believe him. Be gone.

i dont go on the xs forums. i know about the threads cos someone on xbox100 told me.
id be willing to test this, when i get mine, just to prove that steve is just attention seeking.
btw...if you didnt care, why are u replying to me? you must feel angry that i actually have enough sense to realise when somebody is lying. have you not seen the posts about the "boot disc", that is actually a gay porn movie?

I don't have any DL disks so I am going to have to selectively delete stuff and make a DVD-5.
Out of interested I have tried to load a couple of my Xbox 1 backs on the 360 and came across the following results:-
1. Backup disk containing game not on compat list - Reports its not on the compat list
2. Backup disk containing game that is on the list but wrong region - Reports it is the wrong region for the console
3. Backup disk containing game that is on the list and right region - Reports there is an error with the DVD
My FTP from the Xbox 1 just completed and I have just installed Nero 7. Will reboot and burn the disk as is with no modifications to see if it works (missing some files to fit a DVD-5)

Burn disk using the settings Steve suggested in Nero and the disk is not readable in my Xbox 1 or Xbox 360. Just spins the disk for ages and does nothing. I am using a 4x DVD +RW disk that worked fine when I burnt a backup onto it.
I think this is because UDF 1.50 Sparable partitions are not the right settings for Xbox disks. I am trying this again but creating an Xbox Compatible UDF disk.

chedabob yes you are doing my head in - so it looks like you like the attention - if you have nothing constructive to say, go away.

Ok, some more results.
Disk burn't as Xbox Compatible in Nero. The disk File System is readable on the Xbox 1 in XBMC, but it is having real problems reading the disk. Lots of seeking.
On the Xbox 360 it just reports that the disk is Unreadable. It reports that It either the wrong region or needs to be cleaned. Same as Pur was getting.
I will try the same with a DVD +R which I have previously been able to read in the Xbox 1 OK. It may be that it doesn't like the 4x rewriter.

Ok
With a DVD +R 2.4x disk the same image burnt with Xbox Compatible mode worked perfectly in the Xbox 1.
In the 360 it reports that the disk is Unrecognised, the wrong region, or needs to be cleaned.
I have no +DL disks to test this with, but I really don't think this is going to make any difference. The Xbox 360 is not attempting to boot it at all, but it has no problems reading it.
It actually shows it as a Game on the little picture of the Tray in the Dashboard.
Sorry Steve, but I can now also only presume this is fake. Either that or you got a special edition Xbox :)
BTW my 360 has had the Xbox Emulator update to the Dash via live to version 1.2.

I used FlashFXP from my xbox1 to copy the files to my pc
(very interesting to be able to read the xbox360 content)
I then used Qwix 1.01 to make an iso of all the files from the disc which I burnt onto a dvd-rw
with nero express 6 which then worked just as the original disc in my xbox1 does
(note I did not patch any media flags at all)
I then used FlashFXP to place the files from my pc to my xbox1
hard drive which I placed into a folder called 'OXM XBOX 360'
when I rebooted my xbox1,
the Disc name shows up as 'OXM 50 EURO REDUCED 2' on the menu of games on hard drive
(note I did not patch any media flags at all)
I was then able to play this disc straight from the hard drive
as if I had the original Disc in the dvd drive of my xbox1
so as media flags go it works on my unlocked none factory hard drive
I am waiting on downloads of xbox360 games to test this further
P.S. when I place the original Disc into my PC the disc name is
'SEP13011042072'
Also it has the original xbox1 dvd video on the disc which says
'This Is An Xbox Game Disc' e.t.c
and not the new xbox360 dvd video which says about you needing to
place the disc into an xbox360 to play it.
can anyone make an exact copy of the disc with the original xbox1 dvd video on the disc as well as the xbox1/xbox360 content?
I hope this helps
regards

My Plextor DVD Burner does not even support burning DL disks, so there is no way that I can take this any further on a single layer disk.

i think you need a dual layer disk, i heard that different information is stored in different layers. EX video is satored on layer 1 and information is stored on layer 2. i think the xbox checks for this ?

Sorry guys I wasn't around at all last night, my internet at home has crapped out on me all of a sudden at home :(
I have 3 DL discs at home now. The reason I didn't burn em last night to try it was because I didn't have Nero 7, and because I didn't have the exact settings to use since I wasn't able to get online last night at all and check this thread.
Also, I do not have the Condemned ISO, I only have the Need For Speed: Most Wanted ISO, and that ISO added into the King Kong demo disc makes for a 11Gb disc, which obviously is too large.
What I was going to try was just burning the demo straight up to a DL disc, which is 4.97Gb. But before I do, I am wondering if steve burnt the demo to a DL disc with his settings, and if so, what was his results?

Well hopefully you get the info you need from Steve today. But unless you get your internet fixed at home I will have to wait to hear until tomorrow morning :(

Yah I'm hoping it works tonight when I get back. I'm going to see King Kong at 8:30pm so I'm hoping to try and burn it before I go to the theatre and try it out.
But I want to know if steve tried a 1 to 1 copy of the demo disc onto a DL disc, and what the result was, cause as I said, I can't put NFS:MW on there unless I rip out some other crap, which I don't want to do now. I'd rather test just the demo 1 to 1 copy onto a DL disc.

in America, the newest one is neither. Last month's was King Kong. However, on the cover of the newest OXM for us in America is Full Auto, and on the box for the demo disc it has Kameo.
Atleast thats how mine is :)
And the demo has a playable Kameo, Full Auto, and King Kong demo.
