Open up the box and check the psu, pay particular to the 1000mF capacitor.

not in anyway technical but box is open cant see any thing that looks out of place but there again a well trained monkey would know more
if its free it has to be good

anybody got the latest frq for ntl. i have lost channels on my eurovox 2007. i now only have 291-299-307-315-323 and only 52 channels.
any help would be appreciated

Nice oggnogg. Have you tried these as these are the exact same as an N** subbed box your picture quality will be much better.

Your ones will work just giving you the exact frequencies as some areas will have a weaker signal and for the likes of the 395.000 you have it will become pixilated. Different models also have different tuners and so pick up slightly different tp frequencies, I use the N** subbed box as a definitive frequency guide as if their own boxes are not tuned correctly well it says a lot for N** :)

Sc0user, what ius the difference between the 2 symbol rates, i am using 6.952, but i have never scanned with 6.887. Is there any benefit using one of them than the other. Any help from anybody is greatly appreciated. Cheers fellas.

The symbol rates are to determine your provider and there frequency range as you are using 6952 I presume that is for your provider as 6887 is for N**.

Scouser bud, ive got 2dead units coming back to me and i need to revive them. If possible could you explain to me in the simplest terms possible what i need and how i go about doing this. If you could do this i would greatly appreciate it.

No problem I need to know what year/model type and what chipset they have you will need to open them up to do this, it may be Intel or ST.

If you open it up you will see a 48 pin chipset beside the large chip it will have the manufactuers name on it. There are different methods for different chipsets thats why I have to ask this.
