Guys,
Is it possible to play .iso games which require 3.03+ firmware on a 1.50 firmware psp?
Is there any loader that can work it out?
Thanks and sorry for my noob question ;) I've just bought a 4gb ms and i am going to try for the first time tonight.

omg. if u have m33 firmware u dont have to get any emulators. all u have to do is in the root of yr ms make a folder called iso and all of yr iso/cso games go in there. its not hard. then go to a website called campolar google 4 a bit and u will find it. u can get around 50-100 games there. peace

ye, that's what i figured out a while ago. I basically just need to update to a custom firmware (is 352-m33 a good one?) then run the iso (after copying it to iso folder).
I'll try it tonight at home, that should work.
thx!

Upgrade to 3.52 M33, then 3.52 M33-4, then 3.71 M33, then 3.71 M33-4 and the 1.50 kernel patch v2. Yes, i know it seems like there's a lot to go through, but it's quite easy and it'll be worth it.
EDIT: Said 3.72 M33 instead of 3.71 M33... it's been a while and you forget these things, lol.

All CFW so far has had the 1.50 kernel built in, and most homebrew applications use it. When 3.71 M33 was released, it was for both Fat and Slim PSPs, Slim PSPs don't work with the 1.50 kernel so it had to be taken out. Though, later the 1.50 kernel add-on was released so that Fat PSPs could still run all the homebrew.

And getting the stuff to make a Pandora, then using it is quicker, yes? (I hear a "no", there) I suppose it depends on the person really...

as far as i understood the pandora battery is useful in the eventuality of bricking the PSP; is it worth making it for any other reason?

The only reason people use a Pandora Battery is to downgrade or fix a brick, it is very useful to have one, yes, but i recommend to only make one if you have a spare battery (as in you can have one for gaming, one always in "service" mode).

is there any particular battery model that you guys recommend? I've found one for £3.00 on Amazon right now, think it's a bargain.

Generally only Sony batteries can be converted to Pandoras as the PCB in the battery has to be right. Even though most third party batteries won't work as Pandoras, they're fine for use as normal everyday batteries.
I bought a cheap battery to use in my PSP and use the original Sony as my Pandora.
