Thnak you ZELDA64, we can have these talks untile we are blue in the face, but until sony gives us something we can see played(not a movie of a game)but an actual game, and a system we can play hands on,we as consumers don't know. The MEDIA will tell you all kinds of stuff, along with all these web sites, thats what they are getting paid to do. Well its Chistmas morning and my WIFE had better got me KINGKONG,I heard it looks great in HD 1080i only time will tell it might end up being one of those games that sound great until you play
it, kind of like a game system I keep hearing about

its not biased ness its TRUE.
ive proved many times that 360 is more powerful.
the PS3 games are very unappealing to me, its LAL OPINION with these console games. thats why each console has becomeindividual with what games they have not. games will no longer be out for PS3 AND 360 like PS2, xbox and gamecube had. they will be out for ONLY one console.
the right thing to do it wait, analyse what games (and genres) are out, make sure they are what u like. then check how deep your wallet is, then buy what you want with the best deal you can find. online is usually best. stastically the PS3 is going to be more expensive but i dont know by how much. PS3 is RPG's home base (they all go there) so if you like RPG's most then DEFINATELY get a PS3, if u like FPS's and RPG equally then you will have to split like a personality and make a choise (unless you have a very deep wallet full to the brim with greens! - lol)then uc an get both.
observe then purchase, thats the key.
i got a 360 today and ive looked into lots about its games etc, and its my cup of tea. being mroe pwoerful of the two is just a tasty bonus. games are the most importanT!, always have been.!!!
Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......

The reason for this is that the 360 has some very very good potential RPG's coming to it just like PS3 has some good potential FPS coming to it. If you talk about xbox being the best platform for FPS and PS2 for RPG's then I would agree. But these console's coming out, no one can give a definative answer.
What I can say is that at the moment the games coming to 360 seem too good to be true. They are new and fresh showing a tremendous amount of potential. However I havent seen all the PS3 games yet so cant make a full comparison, which is why I get annoyed when these people suggest the PS3 has some really good games in its 150 game line up when they have only seen about 10 of those games. Espesialy when they have only seen FMV video's of the games and not the actual games being played.
Merry Christmas to everyone by the way. I didnt much presents but I dont mind. When I see the Sony CES convention and I do decide on getting a 360 then at least i have that to look forward to when it comes out on the 2nd of March.

I agree with zelda64 that wait for PS3 is out. Plus I'm a big RPG fan.
Let take a look at the "virgin" xbox and xbox 360, there is NOT even 1 good RPG game. The only popular game is Halo. For Halo fans, xbox is #1. For RPG fans, Playstation is #1.
Let say it in general. It does not matter how powerfull xbox 360. If it doesn't have any good game for you to play, then it is a SUCK xbox 360 console for you.
Same as PS3, it does not matter how powerfull PS3. If it doesn't have any good game for you to play, then it is a SUCK PS3 console for you.

very few of the videos, zelda, of ps3 gaming, are fmv's of videos. you think that if they did
that that info got out it would look good? look at ut2004 for example. in the opener where
the skaarj are attacking, that is all realtime. i know because my pc lags during it. those
recorded sesions of gameplay are all realtime, its just reprocessed. same in counterstrike
recordings, they are realtime. what makes you think that all of this in the ps3 is not realtime?
im not saying that some issnt but i will not let you say it is preren.

anubis You are priceless, your pc lags when you view a video and so you conclude it must be real time?? Omg where do i begin, anubis your pc lagging does not indicate F all except that something is up with your p.c, If i view shrek, a video, on my pc then shouldn't it jog because the graphics are amazing and my pc is crap? no because my pc doesnt render the images on screen, the images are pre-rendered using super computers back at pixar studio's or where'eva the hell its made. While its true it cannot be proven that it is or is not real time (though i believe it isn't given sony's previous track record) the fact is your pc jogging doesn't indicate anything as for as this is concerned, and ime sure a lot of pple will tell you the same.

Anubis. Lets put it like this.
If someone with a game pad plays the game in front of a camera and another person shows a technical demonstration of what the game is like then what is more belivable? The man actualy playing the game or the man showing you a clip of the game?
So anyway Unreal Tornament 2007 is coming to the 360 aswell. The only games that have beaten 360 in ter,s of graphics are the FMV sequance of Killzone2 and Motor Storm which is claimed as real time.

Ever think with the power (that Sony claimed the PS2 had) it would be able to produce graphics that the first demonstrations of the Getaway?
Ever think with the power of the 360, Microsoft could have done the same thing showing fmv and saying its in game like Sony are that you could belive it is in game like you are beliving the PS3 stuff is definatly in game?
I am not saying PS3 cant produce those images as in game but when Sony have tricked the public twice with a few things back in the past you would have to be pritty dumb to fully presume that what Sony are showing again is definatly real time, in game footage.
The games I had more proof where real in game footage where Unreal Tournament 2007 and Fight Night (which are both coming to the 360 aswell). The others where just a pre-sequanced series of events said to be real time or just plain CGI like Killzone 2. However the more believable stuff will be shown hopefully at CES, althoug the way Sony are a creating a good seinse of hype and images I wouldnt take it all too seriously.

they did lie before, but that doesnt mean that they have to now. maybe its just that good. let the 360 bring out its "big games" and with the ps3 launch, in my opinion the best one ever, battle for the top. 360 will lose this batter in about 2-3 years DVD9, poor dvd playback, all the extra things you have to buy. people are going to realize the full potential of the ps3 and how forwardly restricted the 360 is.

Stop with this DVD9 rubbish. 360 will not go down in 2-3 years as you suggest.
I do not say for certain that Sony are lieing but what they show and say can not be taken seriously until we see it being played for itself. Its the same situation as the story of the boy who cried wolf.
If Sony in the past have shown video footage and claimed thier console of many great things then turns out not be as good on both occassions then its going to be hard to believe them once again without actual proof.
With the 360, Microsoft have actualy prooved a few games to me and with what they showed and said of the xbox there wasnt too many lies, so I have no reason to disbalive whats shown and said. Although I still do not take it seriously until I see actual raw proof which was shown with Gears of War.

you know DVD9 was a bad choice. why dont you agree here? it was bad. the 360 out there right now is a beta. if they dont add the hd-dvd then they are effed. they say they have no plans but if they said they did have plans, you think the beta360 would sell? no it wouldnt. its a media scheme.

Do you honestly think that I belive DVD9 to be better than Blue ray? If you did thats very stupid of you.
Blue ray is 50gb and DVD9 is of only 9gb of course blue ray is better. But my point is that 360 will not fail becuase a game has to come on 2-3 disc's rahter than the one.

but having to do that for almost every game will be a hastle to many people. since every game they hve to keep track of all the disks. and i take out my disks and put them in a disk book. that would take up alot of space in one of those to have lots of disks. do you really want every game to take 2+ disks?

No i dont want every game to be two disc's or more like anyone would say.
But the question you should ask yourself is, what matters more to you. A good game that takes up 2+ disc's or a not so good game that takes up 1 disc. You should not judge by the amount of space a game will take up in your DVD wallet or having to change a disc half way through the game.
Now I know what you will say to this. PS3 has good games but these are on one disc. This is true but if Final Fantasy was exclusive to 360 would you buy the PS3 simply becuase games are on one disc?
So if Blue Dragon, Lost Odessey, Mass Effect, Too Human, Gears of War and so on prove to be really good games and you enjoy them, would you sacrafice them for a PS3 becuase they are on 2+ discs? Would you sacrafice them becuase they take up to much space in your wallet? would you sacrafice them becuase after 8+ hours of play you would have to get up and change the disc? WOuld you sacraice a really good enjoyable play that you found better than games on PS3 becuase of this irrelavant reasons?

there are not s good games out for 360, and just as many good games for ps3 on the way pending the console release. like dark sector, 6gun 2, gt5, mgs4, the new ff, getaway 3, killzone, project delta, ection 8, just to name some im looking forward to.

first of all well said zelda, when reading that i imagined you screaming, lol. anyways well the games out on xbox 360 we already know about like pgr 3, halo 3, call of duty 2, ghost reacon, ninja gaiden 2, etc. but there are also very good new games such as too human, mass effect, 2 days to veygas, killing day, project im, frame city killer, gears of war, full auto, huxley, oblivion, ninty nine nights, lost odesy and blu dragon, etc.
yes its proably true that the sequal games like MGS4, killzone 2 and others ca match, the sequal games of xbox 360 such as DOA4, halo 3 and pgr 3 but for the new games i personaly think that ps3 does not stand a chance.

HEY for all you P3 rejects out there as of this day 1-1-2006 there is no P3 system only, XBOX 360 and XBOX 360 games I don't remember seeing any P3 games on any shelfs at the stores P2 YES. Save your lame
arguments untile you have proof in hand, I meen tangible proof, not 3rd party hearsay. I also wouldn't get to crazy over blue ray, you will have to upgrade all hardware at your cost.

personally i havent seen one PS3 game vid. that is real time. all the ones i have seen have been pre-rendered, and i remember clearly years ago reading sony claims of the PS2 which the PS3 can only just do in gameplay. they basically claim each console to have the power of the next gen consoles, (e.g. they said PS3 would be as good as PS3, now they seem to say that the PS3 will be as good as the bloody PS4), i dont believe them when they talk about all this stuff (marketing hype), no chance, they've lied LOTS before.
yes im sure the PS3 will be good, but DONT take any market info in, of what sony say's. they did the same with PS1 and PS2 (especially PS2, they lied LOTS about that).
it all seems like yesterday.
