i know they lied about PS2, but hmmm, i'm still going to wait until i see gameplay vids of the system, i hate when they release renders, because lets all face it, u can render something that looks real life, but when the realtime gameplay vid's surface it looks like garbage.

It is true what fazyninja says. anubis you say that PS3 hasnt been fully shown but with the same breath say the games on 360 are rubbish in comparison to the the PS3 games that havent been shown.
Anyway looking at this from a logical stand point. The reason why I am slightly with the 360 at the moment besides the online facilities and live arcade is because all the new fresh promising games coming exclusivly to the 360 that fazyninja mentioned.
anubis is correct when he says that '2 days till Veygas' and 'Killing day' are both for PS3 and 360. However the exclusive games that look highly promising in both gameplay, graphics and the development teams making them like Square Enix and Capcom make the 360 seem a console of choice. However until CES when Sony show more of there games we cant really tell.
When you look at it like this 360 has the following games coming exclusivly to thier system PGR 3, PDZ, Kameo, Halo 3, Dead or Alive, Call of duty 2, Ghost reacon, Ninja Gaiden 2, Too human, Mass Effect, Frame City Killer, Gears of War, Full Auto, Huxley, Oblivion, Ninty Nine Nights, Dead Rising, Prey, Condemned, Lost Odessy and Blue Dragon, plus a few more that I cant think of from the top of my head.
The exclusive promising games I have seen on PS3 so far are of course MGS4, Devil May Cry 4, Warhawk, Lair, Fatal Inertia, Motor Storm, Fith Phantom Saga, Teken 6, Heavenly Sword and not forgeting Killzone2. Unfortunatly these have nearly all be pre-rendered video footage. So until CES no one knows what these games are like on the PS3.
Therefore doesnt it seem like 360 has good potential when it comes to games at the moment? I believe it does. But notice I say at the moment. The reason I say this is becuase Sony havent shown as many exclusive games for the PS3 and nearly everything they have shown is video footage and somewhat unbelivable. So when Sony show thier PS3 properly at CES with thier game line up and more belivable game footage then it appears 360 is the better choice at the moment.

Forget about this evidence though fo the time being. What I was trying to say is Sony have shown video's of a game with no actual play involved so I have no reason to beleive its in game. Microsoft have shown most of the games like Gears of War being played so there is no doubt that they are in game.

yeah some may have been but some were not. and uhall, caps can get you banned. look ive played the 360 about 5 or 6 times. i played CoD2 a few, Madden06, and pgr3. i am not very amazed. sure its nice but its nothing i havnt seen before. the guide thing is a lame idea. if you dont get something figure it out or you just suck. i saw ther wifi adapter at best buy for $100 and i was saddened that people would pay that. i could just use my laptop to gather the wifi and forward it out my ethernet port saving the money. i have a good opinion on the system and its gameplay and i dont like it too much. the controller is a big part of that. and this system, an opinion, is ugly as hell. i took a good look and, while it was lying down, i noticed it was too too tall for its width. it was kinda of stubby looking. not wonderful. i wish ms would have tried more.

Nah, I wasn't yelling, I didn't have my glasses on and caps are easy to read when your blind. Is there a rule aginst using capital letters, go figure. WELL anyways, I have my P3 reserved already and I hope it is a good system,but so far Sony has BSed everbody. I play my 360 everyday with no problems 5 or 6 times dose not make you an expert on a system you don't own. Do you think the capital letter police will knock my door down? Theres more to life than playing games
its called LIVING. One more thing don't hold your breath on a spring launch I heared more like late 2006.

So accourding to the word of anubis
If you buy a 360
1)It will be very very hot. So hot that when you touch it, it will hurt you.
2)The analog joysticks will give you cramp in your thumbs because they are not symetrical
3)It's bad quality becuase his 'friend' has an xbox and all four of his controlers fell apart
4)the navigational button is rubbish becuase if you dont know how to figure out how to get online and use the functions of a console then your some kind of retard
5)It looks ugly
6)Blue ray is the unltimate thing. becuase its a 50gb disc it will mean PS3 will have supernatural powers to produce graphics far beyond 360 and no one buys a game where you have to swap a disc over. Also 2 or more disc's cost more than blue ray even though all those PC games out there on more than one disc cost the same as those that are on one disc.
7)PS3s technological power far exceeds the 360 in every area
8)The lauch was the worst ever, the launch games are the worst ever even though you had games like call of duty, PGR3, PDZ.
9)these games are the same old game but Metal Gear Solid and GTA are really origional.
10) although he hasnt seen the up coming games on the 360 they will be rubbish and although he hasnt seen bearly anything of the PS3 games they will be awsome.
11) the 360's games are not origional even though you have Gears of War, Mass Effect, War Devil, Dead rising I could go on but I will leave it there for now.
12) Although he has played it 5 times apparently and played 2 or three rushed launch games he knows the games will be rubbish for the 360 and will look like the launch game becuase apparently thats where his evidence is coming from.
There are more points but I would have to make a whole new thread called why anubis is full of cr*p and is a ps3 fanboy.
Best of all anubis says he is not a fanboy and he is not narrow minded.
Sorry to put all this on anubis but he has finaly got on my nerves.

Funny you lot!, i repair the 360 in the uk, we certainly haven't had any busted controllers back and the 10,000 odd we've handled have all been very robust,there seems to be a problem with the heatsink paste though as thats the main fault (digital core error/red ring/pixelation etc),if your 360 does this after a few minutes playing it,then it's either the psu or the heatsink,but M$ has held a lot of consoles back in case of this problem which is good business,not sure how they're gonna handle any faulty psu's but the motherboards are being fixed as we speak,if you wan't to void your warranty and possibly balls up your 360 you could do it yourself (pixelation AFTER a few minutes or sudden shutdown ONLY!),buy some 'arctic silver' thermal grease and re-do the heatsink on the cpu and the two on the gpu, and make sure the heatsink sits properly(it's EXTREMELY awkward and if you don't do it right it'll blow all chips and you'll be left with nothing useful),remember this will void your warranty and you won't be able to take it back/send it off.
Just got to hand it to all them xbox 1 users who took out their dodgy hard drives and sent them back to us with books/shoes/a housebrick etc. to make up the weight.....nice!

Yes thank u zelda, anubis REALLY bugs me with his constant "i am not a fan boy, but everything about microsoft is terrible and everything they make falls apart/ doesn't work/ blows up (delete where appropriate) and all m$ merchandise seems to have been made by monkeys from planet of the apes".
Yeah anubis their that bad that it was just pure dumb founded luck that m$ is a multi billion dollar company.

well said zelda but i one thing i do hate about my xbox 360 is that fact that its somewhere in england being fixed and that should not have happened, i am going to buy a coller ans put it around my xbox 360 power source that massive big thing, lol. i called about the headset b/c that was also not working and they sent me one back the next day, well atleast the customer service is good.

ah my twat of a transformer (big brick on the power supply) blew didnt it. peice of sh*t, i could fix it myself but it will void the warrenty, FFS. what a crap warrenty.
ive sent it off so the xbox european repair center, thats where xbox assistance said we should send it to, just some *chicken -cluck cluck* schmuck who didnt have a clue what he was about, reading instructions from a book, probably on minimum wage 2. lol.
if you read the warrenty book it says, it will be void if you do ANYTHING. hehe.
like if you breathe on it, it will be void, if you touch it with dirty hands, it will be void, if you fart near the console, it will be void. if you say "peice of sh*t when playing a game, it will be void, ARGH WTF :-/

corrections to your thing zelda.
the controllers became more or less responsive, meaning up on the dpad would not function unless jammed or the left on the left analog has u be push all the way to work. some even became unsexsitive to anything.
i said bluray will have the extra space to provide more room for large and detail textures, while a DVD9 will use half of its space on them.
as far as exceeding everything in power, i do not mean that. i mean the processor its more appropriate for a console because of its design i described on another forum. and the rsx has better shaders, polygon redering and loading but the 360's gpu is better at brighter colors and blending. they are both exceptionally great in every other area and are basially tied.
did i say the launch was worst ever? no. i said its not as great as peole say. the ps3 line up looks nice but ill have to wait and see.
and original? half of those games use ideals from other games. they ma be original names or charachters but alot of gameplay style is the same, if not slightly dif. i not saying the ps3 wont have games like this tho, cuz games like this come out often.
and if the games they made accessable on the demo disk suck, than they should make them the on the first demo disk. i based my opinion off of what i say and played with the demo disk. even if its not the best on there, it is the DEMO disk and it should show its best.

How would you know about the controllers, you don't own any xbox360 controllers, you repeat everything you hear. How can you pass judgement on something you have no first hand ownership knowledge,and I don't meen playing the game in BestBuy.Anubis66, do you understand how dumb you sound with all the crap you write. If you had owned an xbox360,and had had problems, I could understand,But you don't own one and you say things like you are all knowing about the 360. No one said xbox 360 was perfect, but its the best system out as of 1-3-2006.
I don't see a ps3 anywhere(until late 2006) to compare systems.Until there is a ps3, Xbox 360 is the best system.

I believe that Sony will make PS3 as powerful as Xbox 360. There are couple of reasons:
1/ Sony sees the power of xbox 360 and Sony wants to beat xbox 360 in the market. Therefore, they have to make PS3 as powerful as Xbox 360.
2/ Sony sees the problems of xbox 360. So They avoid to repeat those problems on PS3. They have time. They will do the complete full cycle test on PS3 before saling them.
Who knows that PS3 may be more powerful than xbox 360. Just wait until PS3 is out.

roadkille, i agree. im on the same track there. the 360 had little testing, just enough to see if it would run basically. see microsoft has a bad habit with sending out beta's to the public. if you remember, windows xp (first release) said 35 mins to complete, then two hours later it was done. 360 is an expensive beta.

5 hours of game play doses't mean sqaut, you are full of crap and the points you try to make about a system you played 5 hours are stupid let me repeat stupid. If you like the ps3,fine like it, but tell me what exactly do you like about the ps3, how can you like anything about a system you have not played or seen first hand. Sony dosen't even know or has shown what ps3 can do, so how can you say what you like about a system that the developers aren't even sure of or how much this life changing system will cost you. Last time I checked Sony wasn't the almighty himself being perfect in every way . Here's an Idea, wait for the system to come out to the public for actual system and game comparison to the xbox 360.Then you can rant about something you might know about because you dont know caca about the 360.
