are you trying to burn it? dude ill just ship you a copy of the disk its all good. i couldnt seem to find the SS file bin for it either. let me know. =) later dude

I am attempting to backup my copy but I cannot find a NTSC ss.bin file anywhere. Where did you find your copy?

HELP
I got some backups that I want to backup again due to the disks picking up some marks is this possible using XBC as I get a strange error about the layers being unlocked. So is this possible using XBC. Also I have virtua tennis 3 which I can not rip, I have tried XBC again an error appears, ISObuster which rips it and fails when the game is written back even though I have extracted and remergerd the .ss file also cd copy goes wrong too.
Please advise

Sorry for bringing an old thread back, but this is the perfect place to put my problem. Ok, I've been trying to create my first back-up (Call of Duty 3) for my flashed Hitachi 360. I keep getting ISO's that don't make sense. I do not have the Pioneer DVD drive and am not getting the CRC error. What am I doing wrong? Here are the problems:
When I use this layout.ltf:
C19408
D1072
C109344
C1783936
J225056
C1783936
J0
I get an ISO that is about 10MB and it opens with WinRar and contains a Audio_TS folder and Video_TS folder.
When I use this layout.ltf:

I get an ISO that is about 300MB and it opens with WinRar and contains a Audio_TS folder and Video_TS folder.

What's going on and what's the best layout.ltf to use?

sorry old thread but i noticed no reply
I moved onto using XBC because by chance i happened to have the samsung drive that was required (if you dont theyre not expensive, mine was $20AUD about $15US, you just have to look around) and its a lot simpler. it gets the ss pfi and dmi for you when you backup a game
with regard to backing up backups i just used dvd decrypter http://www.torrentz.com/8bad79b232f09900753ac88a135227095e180d7f
to make a backup of a backup that my xbox thought was dirty and unreadable. i simply made an iso, burnt that iso to a new disc and it worked 100%...go figure...

hi all today ibought a Verbatim DL(2.4X) and burnt oblivion on it it is prepatched so all i had to do was burn it right??and when i insert it in my 360 in says unplayable disc....what did i do wrong i burnt it with CloneCD 5.3.0.1 at 2-2.4x can you tell me what went wrong please...oh and during the burning process the buffer was all the time at 0%....and when i put it in my computer it says that there are 0 objects on the DVD+R DL so please help me on this.
now when i put the DVD+R DL(i burnt DiRT) in the xbox it says to put it in a xbox 360 console....wait my dvd writer does not support bitsetting...is that why the games don't work?????

i put in the DVD+R DL and open ImgBurn(to see if it's more reliable than clone) and burn harry potter 5(game)and burn it with 2x speed after its finished i put it in my 360 and a video appears and then it tells me to put it in a xbox 360 console...the same thing with DiRT

Sorry if this has already been stated but i had lots of problems with getting WxRipper to work, mainly it was making the wrong size files (Instead of 7.5gb it was 200mb and 3gb etc). I found out the reason as to why it was doing this which is make sure you unscrew your DVD-RW drive rather than press the manual eject button (the little hole you shove a paper clip into) so If you are getting the wrong size ISO's from WxRipper, DONT PRESS THE MANUAL EJECT BUTTON WITH A PAPER CLIP, UNSCREW THE DRIVE ITSELF!
But this is a very good tutorial and worked brilliantly once i had worked out what my problem was, nice work Caerel!

Ceareal,
I followed your tutor to a T and I got a burn that says (when I put it in an already flashed xbox360). I have a couple of questions for you guys.
1. Is there any software that can read the copy and tell me what is wrong with it?
2. I am using a top taken off drive in my computer which is a Sony DRU810A. Does this drive need to be flashed?
3. I am using Memorex DVD+R DL. Are these ok?
4. What is the best up to date tutor on the net for backing up games?
Thanks for all your answers and help, much appreciated, and thanks for all your guys hard work in helping out.

oops, to add what I forgot in last message: I followed your tutor to a T and I got a burn that says (when I put it in an already flashed xbox360) that the disc is dirty, to clean it and put it back in. I have a couple of questions for you guys.
One more question: Does the Sony drive have to be set to
DVD-ROM and how do I do this.
The copy I made was Ridge Racer 6.

Hey, Ive been having some of the same problems as other people on here, but didnt find anything that works. I am going through the tutorial step for step, using verbatims dl dvd+r, and every time i put it in my 360 i get the same message " to play this disc put it in an xbox 360". Is there anything i am doing wrong? Also, to get the ss file i use nme associator, could this be the problem? I even looked up some of the ss files online and it still didnt work. Can u help? Thanks

ok whenever i find a ss file for my backed up games, it never matches up in the SS Merger program, please help.

thats because the server that the known good files were stored on nolonger works/or is up most still work i have never had a problem with em not working just burn and test to find out if they work
