Yep just murge and burn as long as you have the right ss file in there it will work fine. The reason it comes up red with noe reqired ss is because the server is no longer up so it has no data base to check to see if it is correct or not. So just get a .ss file for the game off the site i have in the tut and it should work fine

thanks i figured that out last night after i played around and read a little bit more and i realized i was burning the wrong file i was trying to burn the .dvd file because on a video tut. from youtube i thought thats what the guy was doing and it was misleading me..
1more quick question though can i get an iso file from say isohuhnt and the ss file and burn that way also insted of going through the whole dumping process??
Is there any other good sites out there to get an iso from?

Is the SS merger connection down because when i import my iso into ss merger and it asks me if i want to check oline for the right MD5 or something like that i wate 3 or 4 mins and it comes back with a long list of errors about a connection, anyone know??

I am starting to dump the originals and changed the third C to a D but from the images on the tut shows that the sixth is a dummy (D) whereas mine is still a copy (C)? does this affect anything or am i still doing it right?

i am having trouble with ss merger it asks if i want to check the md5 sum online and i click yes and it comes back with an error saying cannot connect to database with a long list of errors any1 help me?

Hey guys just a quick one. I'm new to the whole xbox 360 thing. but do i have to get my xbox flashed or chipped in order to use games copied using the method in this forum??

Yes, you need to flash your Xbox 360's disc drive. Check out the tutorials section at http://www.360mods.net

The tutorial works awesome for xbox360 games but when I try to burn original xbox1 games to play on my modded xbox 360 I usually get 2 CRC errors. One is always on the 4th line and the other on the 6th line. I tried both the -2 method and the D (dummy) method. When I try the -2 method I get other CRC errors and I have to change the layout 2-3 times to get it to dump completely, but after merging with SS Merger and get a prompt that I am attempting to create an "Extreme Style" ISO I click on "ok" and I get the patched ISO after merging. Which is now a few hundred megabytes bigger then my original ISO. I then try to burn with DVD Decrypter but I get an error that the image is not proper or is corrupted or something like that.
I then try to burn the ISO to disk with CloneCD which does write it to disc for me but when I pop it into my XBOX 360 I get the stupid MS error "This is an xbox game disc. please put it in your xbox to start playing."
Anyways can anyone help me out with this mess? I have created 3 Verbatim coasters so far and I am about to cry $$$...

you could always use/try XDVDMULLETER to do the hotswap :)

How do I use it to do the hotswap?
I have the following options:
1) View ISO Details
2) Build/Rebuild and ISO
3) Misc Functions
Which one do I choose for the hotswap?

The other day i rented Gears of War and GRAW 2 from Blockbuster and i copied Gears of War perfectly and then i moved onto GRAW 2 and it keeps failing i have tried many different ss, pfi, dmi files and i still cant get it to work if anyone has got GRAW 2 to work with PAL UK xbox can you tell me please where you got the ss from

Never-mind about switching burners you just need to save the layout file and edit it in notepad and then go to the 2nd and 3rd line down and make sure there both D's at the beginning
