burnt cod mw2 using image burn. i have liteon 1.61 and i still had to use the activate iso disc, to load cod mw2 is this normal?
It works fine, im just wondering if i should have to use activate iso with this game and my firmware, or should i of done something else with the image files prior to burning?
thanks in advance

Hi all I was wondering if anyone can solve my problem. I am trying to backup my 360 games and have all the right software and go through the steps involved. I am using wxripper then abgx360 and finally ImgBurn and everything seems fine I don't get any error msg's through any of the steps even when burning. But when I place the burnt disk in the Xbox it won't recognize it, I just got my Xbox flashed today by a pro who does this for a job he then tested it with a burnt game and it worked fine so I know that isn't the problem. The only conclusion I can come to is that the burner I am using a Sony NEC Optiarc AD-7200S isn't compatible or it needs new firmware. I am also using TDK DVD+R DL disks so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I have read so many forums and can't seem to solve this problem. Thanks any feedback will be much appreciated.

I have a problem that I haven't been able to figure out. I have a modded xbox360 that I play back ups on all the time. I can't seem to play my own back ups that I make. ImgBurn doesn't say there is a problem and everything seems good but they do not play. I then put in one of my other backups that I had someone else do and everything is fine. I am using Verbatim DVDs and I am trying on a LH-20A1H Lite-On drive as we speak. I have tried XBC and I am trying ABGX360 now. any assistance with this would be great. I can't think of what I am missing exactly.

Did you change the booktype under booktype settings in image burn? It's a command mistake. Make sure you change it to DVD-ROM.

so I need help with this: when I try to burn a game with imgburn it starts promisingly and well, but then after a moment imgburn tells me 'disc not empty' and ejects the disc... :/ from what I know, I'd say there are three possible things that go wrong 1. I screw'd up somehow 2. my computer screws up the burning progress (wouldn't be a surprise, it's a cheap laptop and I had problems with burning cd-rw:s also) OR 3. the discs were bad (I don't thinks so, because I have tried burning with 4 discs, 1 verbatim and 3 rivisions) PLEASE somebody help me?:D ps. sorry if my english wasn't that good

Sounds like it could possibly be a bad rip you have.

Hey all,
I'm having a problem playing my first backup cd.
The console doesnt recognize the disk and it sounds like the laser is just skipping without actually launching the game itself. Originial games play fine. My xbox's drive is modded and I saw some backup cd playing fine in it. But I guess there is something wrong with my setup or my method of burning. Im using the guide to the letter. Here is the log. Thanks.

Check for updated firmware for the burner. Laptop burners seem to be more problematic in general though, so you might want to consider using a desktop if you have one, or getting an external burner. You should also try verifying the disc with ImgBurn. Just because it burned OK doesn't mean it'll read OK.
Another thing it could be is this: -
Quote: W 14:34:22 SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.
Uninstall Daemon Tools or whatever image mounting software you've got installed that's causing that warning, then remove SPTD using the uninstaller HERE, reboot and then try burning the game again. If it works OK, then you should consider using an alternative image mounting software that doesn't use SPTD, such as Virtual CloneDrive.
