Hey everyone,
Im having a problem with some new xbox360 games. Back in november I modded my 360, used Verbatim DL+R's with Mulleter and ImgBurn. Everything worked fine. Recently I wanted to burn some games I've gotten since november and all I have are 4 coasters.
I bought Verbatim DVD+R DL for sams club, I cant tell if they are from singapore(threw out the ppackaging)
I have a Lite-On SHM-165H6S(still works fine to b/u wii and movies) I'm not sure what firmware I have, looking at old file here on the computer alot of them say ixtreme 1.4
Ideas as to what my problem is would be great....

That's the problem you are using Ixtreme 1.4. It won't work with the newer games update you firmware to ix 1.51 or 1.60 depending if you have a hitachi or not.

Great forum! Thanks for all the wealth of info.
I've read through the threads but didn't come across a similar problem from any of the previous posts. So, here's my problem...
I just followed through both tutorials, ABGX360 tut and IMGburn tut. During the IMGburning process, after 40+ minutes the DVD tray spit out the DL DVD, only to load it back it in again seconds later (verifying it, i assumed). And then momentarily later, the IMGburn software was reading "Verifying Sector" and it was stuck at 48% for like 30 minutes. Thinking, that it was burnt completely before, and this is just the verifying stage, I ejected the disk and put it into my 360, now it's reading "Play DVD" on the dashboard, and when played, it just pops up a xbox 360 screen that can't be forwarded or move backward.
When I put the disc in the computer, Windows media opened it up and tell me that to put the game into the 360 in order to play it (something along that line).
NDarkness (or anyone that can help), if you're still on here, please shed some light on this error.
Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you are trying to play a Wave 3 game on iXtreme firmware that is lower than 1.51. If so then you will need to update your iXtreme firmware to the latest which is 1.6. If you have a Hitachi drive then update to 1.51 (there is no 1.6 for Hitachi drives).
Wave 3 games are all of the newest games after March I believe.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response bro!
It looks like I have a the BenQ drive, based on pictures from google search.
I had a guy replaced my xbox drive last year, and while at it, he flashed the drive for me. So, I don't know how to exactly "flash" it. Do you have a tutorial on this?

Update the burner's firmware, because the firmware installed is old. Use Verbatims instead of Ritek.

So updating the driver should be the fix?

Not necessarily, but it's what I would do first if I was you. If you have no luck after installing the latest firmware, get some Verbatims and try those. The guy who created ImgBurn is forever telling people to just buy Verbatims on the ImgBurn forum, but people always seem to want to cut corners even when good advice is constantly rammed down their throats, lol. No offence, it's just that it's been said on here so many times.

That burner's been around for years. The 1.37 firmware that you have installed on it is also a few years old. The latest firmware on the ASUS site is 1.41. Go here and put the model number into the search box, top left: -

You will only know that after you update the firmware. There's no guarantee that Verbatims will work on it either, because it's an old drive that hasn't been updated in ages, but at least if you do end up having to buy a new drive, you'll already have some discs to use with it. :D
